Seogwipo Submarine

Great experience to go down in a submarine. 40 metres down! Nice view underwater and colourful fish around. Spectacular views on the bridge and sea site!

How often do you get to bring your family to sit in a submarine? Well that set me to go for this activity which was well received and enjoyed by them. Even though the host was commentating in Korean, there are English translations as they showed videos of the places we were brought to see. The experience itself was pleasure and felt like an adventure for my wife and kid as we had to take a ferry to the submarine, climb unto the submarine. Was fun! The ride back to land was relaxing and beautiful.

Indeed a good experience , after all submarine is not something you can get to see all the time. No worries for the safety , thus far is zero accident record. However if you got fear with casteiphobic then might need to skip this. Will recommend this definitely.

We tried their boat tour and it was an amazing experience! Birds will follow the boat asking for snacks and please prepare snacks for them... lol :D Well, overall experience was amazing and you can see a lot of island that is made by rock formations.

It really was a submarine, but the entire journey stayed within the epipelagic zone.

Well worth the ticket price, though, especially when one keeps the cost of admission to a good aquarium in mind.

It may be advisable to keep sunlight hours in mind when booking a timeslot, since upper layer visibility relies on sunlight. The sub is equipped with external lights, but the colour balance was quite different.

It's worth it at least once in a lifetime.

This is a must visit place if you are in JEJU , because it’s the Asia’s only submarine which we can go and 40m Deep ! And also you will watch beautiful corals , if you are a seafood lover , there is a restaurant next to this submarine , run by locals , you can have a nice seafood Raman noodles which I loved it .

Good place for river sight seeing with friends and family .. here you can have Rosemary Restaurant for authentic Korean dishes also from here you can go spring Fall and hiking trail.

Some difficulty booking online so we went to the office the day before to make our booking. In reality they didn't take our credit card details so they should have been able to accept the booking without a Korean credit card. You need your passport to collect tickets and you need to fill in a boarding card. You take a boat to the island before boarding the submarine. Sit near the back to board earlier. The submarine has two rows of windows and each window is shared by two. As you descend you will see fish along the rock wall and a diver will swim around the submarine feeding the fish food. At the bottom there is a ship wreck. Although not cheap, we felt it was a special experience well with the money and it was memorable for our 3 year old.

The most pricey Korean attraction but I think it's worth it. Those sitting on the right get to enjoy the fish feeding and shipwreck close up while those on the left get to see the beautiful corals. Both are great!

One of the most unforgettable experience in Jeju Island, since it was our first time in a submarine. You will be taken to a deck near a small island with a ferry. In the submarine you will see a diver giving food to small fishes which is cute btw. And also other marine life living at the bottom of the island. We even got a certification after that for free!

You go to a depth of 40m + seeing a lot of sea life and soft corral.

Cost us 132,000KRW for 3 of us (2 year old daughter was free). Well worth the price, we got to ride a ferry out to the dive site and saw fish, corals and a small shipwreck during our 40m deep dive. A diver also went around the outside of the sub and fed fishes and entertained us. There was a speaker (who I didn't understand) and videos with English and Mandarin subtitles explaining what was happening.

Bear in mind 100 years ago such technology didn't exist and 50 years ago only the very richest could afford such an experience.

It is near to the South of Jeju Island. This place near to Cheonjiyon waterfall and Seogwipo Olle Market and Lee Jung Seon Art street only by walking distance. Place where you can sit on the platform or stand on the bridge to see sunset or sunrise. Also can walk or jogging at the small island. On the bridge can see beautiful sea view when sunset. Can see Hallasan Mountain. The higher mountain in Korea. Can take submarine or tour boat. Can eat fresh seafood noodle. I like this place very much.

The boat to the islands is great

A short submarine ride down to 40m. The submarine will stop at 10m for visitors to see the small pelagics and sea plantations. It will then go deeper to view a ship wreck. As the submarine goes deeper visitors will experience the change in hue. Great for those who can't experience scuba diving.

It is a great experince going under water in the submarine. We can see the coral rrefs and exotic fishes and marine life from up close. It s a wonderful experience to have with kids. however the price point is little on the higher side for the experience but it is one of a kind. The view of the sea going to the submarine and coming back after the submarine trip is also very good. The annoucements are in korean only on the ship which takes to submarine. Inside the submarine english taps also runs but sound is not very audible.

This is a must if you're in Jeju island. It may feel like a quick ride but you get to see alot of coral reefs and a shipwreck. Pretty cool!

Great time. Very smoothly run. Visibility was great. Went all the way to 36 m deep. Great value and staff.
