Maemiseong Castle

Our tour guide told us that this castle is single-handed built by a person after this place is destroyed by a typhoon. And this place is still building in progress... would recommend to visit this place...

As the weather was great in Geoje, I decided to visit the Maemiseong Castle, which turned out to be a great idea. It wasn't very busy and the scenery was beautiful. Although the castle itself isn't very big, the view from it is breathtaking. Just relaxing and enjoying the beach view was mesmerizing.

Fancy coffeeshops, restaurants, camping sites and a big parking, Maemi Castle has it all. A nice area to admire the sea, try something yummy and take Instagramable pictures. I visited the place in winter and it was still popular and the weather was great.

It was a nice quick stop with some nice photos spot!

An amazing place to visit on a sunny day! The castle and the surrounding area are beautiful. It can get a little crowded on the weekends, so I would suggest to come during the week

Truly, human strength is shown to overcome the mighty powerful nature's game of a storm called Maemi(insect) by built by one dedicated man laying one stone after another over years in effort to keep his right to the cliff !!

Mesmerizing cafe to come yet to be fully immersed in this romantic castle of one man's honest blood and sweat!!

Maemi Castle on Geoje Island is magical and completely worth your time 💫 I loved this place because of the beautiful crystal clear sea waves!

Good place to take pictures

You can expect so beautiful castle fitted on land looking at the sea, covalt color sea and many people taking pictures. It is definitely one place you have to visit if you travel Geoje island. One of the hottest tourist spot in Geoje.

This looks like an old castle in Europe. Cool place to hear sound of waves and relax. There are also some coffee shops and stores selling snack food too.
