Windy Hill

A really beautiful place! It was a little cloudy that day, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

You can't go Geoje island without visiting the Windy Mill. As the name suggests it's windy and the mill is located on a hill to get the perfect view of the surroundings....absolutely amazing. The emerald blue if the sea is breathtaking.

Really beautiful and really windy! We went at dusk and it was so pretty! Also, going at this time it was not busy at all and we almost had the entire thing to ourselves. On the walk in we got a corn dog and then ate it in front of the windmill. So delicious! Really worth the visit!

Windy Hill is a manicured cliff that overlooks the sea and the national park’s tumbling mountains. 🏔At the Windy Hill, there is no entrance fee nor parking fee. There is an Observation Deck and you can walk above the ocean to see the panorama view. It’s a must-visit for nature lovers !! 🌲

Although it’s kind of tiring to walk to the top of the hill but the scenery is totally worthy. We spent almost one and a half hour there 😊

PS: the most popular snack at the Windy hill is HOTDOG!!

Great place with spectacular views. There are some adventure sea activities such as jet boating, parasailing, and cruise ride to enjoy. Jet boating is highly recommended, for sure you will enjoy it the most. Especially the turn does by boat rider is really amazing!!

Today is my birthday, we, group of 8 people, travel to Goche. Windy Hill is the second places that we visited. It was cloudy and windy therefore the color of our pictures were not very good. However, the sightseeing is really great!
The parking fee is 3,000 krw if you parked in parking lot. However, it took long time to get into the parking. It is better to park in the street because it is free of charge, fast, and convenient!

Its beautiful ofcourse, but timing of the day is more important. Been there in day time and evening. If you come in evening, its a very beautiful place with great views.

It's simply beautiful.. Awesome place to have some nice selfies.. If you are driving, then don't just stop here, follow this road and you will see a couple of very nice scenic places.

Trivia: On the way to Haegeumgang Village, one may encounter the fishing village of Dojangpo. On the left side of the village is Dojangpo Wharf, from where one can take a tour ferry to Oedo Island and Haegeumgang River. Looking up from here, one can see a hill covered in grass and overlooking the sea. This is Windy Hill.

A growing number visitors come to the place after it was used a filming site for popular Korean dramas such as Eve's Garden (2003, SBS) and Merry- Go-Round (2004, MBC). The name “Windy Hill” was given by those who visited the island and became a fan. Walking toward the hill along the wooden promenade from the wharf, one can see Hakdong Village from a distance.

Great area to walk. We went twice. The first day was so windy we were almost getting blown over and had so much fun staying upright. The second day was calm and peaceful out, but there was also more people then. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely go back

An adorable wind mill located on the hill next to the coast. I enjoyed sunset and sunrise there. The view was quite nostalgic to me. Around is a small village with cafes and few restaurants.

The scenery from this wind turbine is just breathtaking. Located at a hill that have an amazing view of the sea have made this places look effortless magnificent. Need to walk a bit from the main entrance. You could take a break since there is a coffee shop at the entrance with the view of sea. No fee charges because the nature are for all people to enjoy, make sure to put this place in your list if you come to Geoje!

*Magnificent, breath taking view of the wind mills and the ocean. You could be relax by listening to the sound of the waves hitting the stone and enjoy the view of the nature in complete set (ocean, hills, sky and tree). There is cool cafe and a lot of water activity here.

How I went there:
I went to Busan station and go to bus terminal. Bought tickets to Jangseungpo (journey was around 1.5 hour) From there, took another bus to Jangseungpo port(you can buy ticket to Oedo which was our initial plan to go there first). Ended up, took another bus for few stations and taxi to the windy hill. Worth the time spent on the bus. Breathtaking view. Very recommended.

Geoje Windy Hills is one of the best place in Korea that I visited. Too beautiful, Everything was wonderful there (ambiance, wind, scenary ect). Must Visit !!!!

Top visited place in Geoje , there's a lots of fun activities here you could take the speed boat to a secret island middle of the sea then the local restaurants are great too

The amazing part is the lonely standing old windmill that amuse the tourists...

A very touristy area. If you can visit here outside of peak tourist time, you'll love it--a nice view and a cool little village. Otherwise, expect waits for everything as it is a small area.
