If you're planning a temple stay in Korea, Baekyangsa should be on your list. The view is outstanding.

Try before the foliage. It might get a bit noisy with tourists when the leaves turn red and yellow.

Temple stay with shrine, situated in the lap of mountain with natural beauty, most visite in fall season. Lots of walking trails, good food (for me little expensive), hotels near by too.

Is it possible to be more beautiful than here? "stunned, overwhelmed, mesmerized." I had this feeling that I'm struggling to put into words. Maybe: coming to a place like this alone is a reward for being alone - being lonely. The solitude felt even in the midst of the crowd was so intensely satisfying that... that I couldn't experience such if I had been human enough have had a family.

Such an amazing atmosphere here. The hike to the main temple is about 15-20 mins but you can go even higher into the mountains for a round trip 2-3 hour walk and see even more amazing views. One of the best temples in Korea hands dowm

Baekyangsa is part of the Naejangsan National Park. It is best to visit in the fall season while the leaves are changing adding to an already beautiful place and wonderful hike up the mountains. It is a wonderful park with some of the best scenery I have ever seen. There is also a small village outside the park with family osned eateries and street food. The best way to get there is by train which drops you off at Baekyangsa station. The only down side is that there was no local bus that I've seen with a direct route from station to the park.

Exquisite scenery around temples with very accessible walkways and trails. Best during Autumn foliage period!

Baekyangsa is one of the most beautiful temples I have visited in Korea. It's located on the Baekyang mountains and can be visited in any time of the year. But I recommend you to go in Autumn when the view is most breathtaking.

Magical place.... The bond I had with this place with an incredible experiences that came with I can't describe in words. This place gave my heart light & healing that words cannot express. I stayed 5days and this was one of the most beautiful, pure & transparent sensation experience I've ever had in my life.
I will most definitely return and I hope some of the monks I've met will still be there. With that pure grace. Mount baekyang is in & a part of mount naejang, I will always cherish the healing mount baekyang gave me in those 5days.

I enjoyed myself greatly, having stayed 2 nights in the temple grounds. It is also a great experience climbing and walking the 10 km distance along the hill behind the temple.

A peaceful and beautiful temple

Beautiful temple in the beautiful Naejang Mt. Went here for temple stay with cooking class with Jeongkwan and had a really great experience, it basically changed my thinking around the food and I met really great people. Temple staffs are very friendly and temple is really beautiful. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Very beautiful place in Naejangsan mountain. National park, lake, temple makes the place very charming and calm.

One of the biggest temples from South Jeolla Province. A nice place with alleys for slow walks.

A beautiful autumn leaves scenery. The trees are old and produce little leaves so they named the fall festival “baby autumn leaves fest.” It can get really crowded there. I hated restaurants and cafes with bright lightings near the temple tho.

The temple bulding itself is not fancy or anything like that but I love the location of the temple a lot. It's surrounded by nice mountains ponds and stream. All the way to the temple is so peaceful and beautiful, you can do quite a bit of hiking if you go further up the hill. I visited this place in summer(hot and humid) and hiking was the last thing I wanted but if I come here in Spring or Fall, I would definitely try.
