Hazrati Imam complex

It’s a very big complex with a couple of buildings laid out on each side of a huge square. The madrasah has already been turned into a place to buy souvenirs but the structure still stands and is very much intact and you can appreciate the architecture. A beautiful place to visit when in Tashkent.

We arrived just before Friday afternoon prayers were held. Very calm, peaceful with many friendly faces.

A must, must, must visit at the Hazrat Imam is the small museum housing the oldest surviving original Qurans written down in 651 AD. That almost 1400 year book absolutely is one of the wonders of the World.

Ancient architecture and rich islamic histoty. If you like any of the above then its must go place in Tashkent.
There is a copy of an ancient holy Quran preserved here. You need to purchase ticket to see it. Taking Photo or video of that copy of quran is not allowed. Its like an ancient place, you will feel you are in the past or in a Hollywood movie.

It's such a beautiful site and a must visit in Tashkent. I highly recommend spending at least an hour in this fascinating place.

Heart of the Old Tashkent. Before sunset view gets very amazing. Minarets, domes, walls of the mosque and madrasah, and the square itself gets very beautiful colors. The square is like a playground for local kids. When i was there kids were cycling and playing with each other. Even inside the mosque kids play, that’s nice atmosphere. Mosque, indeed, was warm. The wudu room has hot water.

Very historical place. Last resting place of Hazrat Imam Bukhari. Seat of leaning for all of us. A must visit place, when u are visiting Samarkand, Uzbekistan

The beauty of this place only deserves to be witnessed through the real eyes. Hazrati Imam complex has been one of the most wonderful buildings I have came across. The work done inside the mosque is exceptional with lovely details. There is a big compound at the back side leading to a smaller compound with shops. This complex is packed during Eid Prayers and becomes a benevolent site to be experienced. Loved it.

The people are friendly and welcoming.

It was pretty to walk around. We only went into the back area that has all the pretty shops of beautiful hand-made souvenirs. I enjoyed seeing some of the handiwork’s in progress.

Fajr prayer is peaceful and it is vibrant with a multitude of devoted worshippers.

This place must be witnessed by eyes in order to feel it’s beauty. Such a magnificent place to visit in 2022. The place is free of charge but there are some places inside you need to pay for so that you can enter.

his complex appeared near the tomb of one of the first imam of Tashkent city, the famous scientist, scholar of the Koran and Hadith, poet and craftsman Hazrati Imam (full name - Abu-Bakr Muhammad Kaffal Shashi).
On the territory of the Hast-Imam, there are few arhitectural monuments, including the madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari, where future preachers are taught.
