1937 මැයි මස තුන්වන දිනය පොල්ගස්වත්ත ග්‍රාමයට සුවිශේෂී දිනයක් විය. එවකට මාලිබොඩ වතුඅධිකාරීවරායව සිටි සුදු ජාතික මහත්මා විසින් පොල්ගස්වත්ත මහා විදුහල ප්‍රදේශයේ සිසු දරුදැරියන් වෙනුවෙන් විවෘත්ත කර ඇත. සබරගමු පළාතේ දෙහිඕවිට අධ්‍යාපන කලාපයේ දැරණියගල අධ්‍යාපන කොට්ඨාසයට අයත් අප පාසල පොල්ගස්වත්ත ප්‍රදේශයේ ප්‍රදේශ වාසීන්ගේ සිසු දරුදැරියන් ගුණ නැණ බෙලෙන් යුතු මානව පරපුරක් බවට පත්කිරීමේ දැක්මෙන් යුතුව ඉදිරියට යන, ප්‍රදේශයේ දීප්තිමත් පාසලකි. වත්මන් විදුහල්පති සී.ජේ.ලියනගේ මහතා විශාල අභියෝග සහ දුෂ්කරතා රාශියක් මැද පාසලේ සිසු දරුදැරියන්ගේ ගුණාත්මක අධ්‍යාපනික සංවර්ධනය වෙනුවෙන් කැපවීමෙන් යුතුව නව දැක්මකින් කටයුතු කරයි. මේ වන විට පාසලේ ඉගෙනුම් ඉගැන්වීම් ක්‍රියාවලිය නව මානයකට ගෙනයමින් තාක්ෂණය සමග කටයුතු කරමින් ලෝකය දකිනා සිසු පරපුරක් බිහිකිරීමේ පරමාර්ථයෙන් යුතුව Multimedia පන්තිකාමරයක් තුල ඉගෙනුම් ඉගැන්වීම් ක්‍රියාවලිය ඉටුකිරීමට ගුරුභවතුන්ට අවශ්‍ය පහසුකම් සැපයීමේ දුෂ්කර කාර්යයේ නියැලී සිටියි.සාමාන්‍යපෙළ දරුදැරියන්ගේ ප්‍රතිඵල ඉහල නැංවීමේ අභිමතාර්ථයෙන් උදෑසන පන්ති පැවැත්වීම සඳහා ගුරුභවතුන් මගපෙන්වමින් අවැසි ධෛර්ය ලබාදෙයි.පාසලේ පවතින විවිධ භෞතික අඩුපාඩු දුෂ්කරතා මැද විද්‍යාලයේ දරුදැරියන්හට ශිල්ප ඥානය ලබාදීමේ වගකීම, සතුටින් හා කැපවීමෙන් යුතුව විදුහල්පති තුමන් සමග එක්ව ඉටුකිරීමේ කාර්යයට පාසලේ සියලුම ගුරුභවතුන් එකාවන්ව පෙළගැසී කටයුතු කරයි.එමගින් ලංකා අධ්‍යාපනයේ පරමාර්ථය වන “ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයෙකු බිහිකිරීම” සපත කරනු ඇත....
