Heritance Kandalama

We had the most amazing stay at Kandalama for our honeymoon. The location was stunning, the hotel itself is beautiful and the food was delicious. Above all, the service was incredible. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and made our stay very special. A particular thanks to Dominic, guests relations executive, who really went out of his way to make us feel incredibly welcomed, gave us great tips for our stay, and helped make our experience incredibly memorable. Thank you again!

Location is amazing, beautiful scenery. Staff are very helpful and buffet dinner and breakfast has a large variety of items. The made to order Hoppers are a must to try. Beware of carrying fruit as the monkeys will chase you for it.

We had an amazing stay at the Heritance Kandalama. It was an incredible experience. I cherished every aspect of my visit. The room has a magnificent view of Kandalama Lake. The hotel's architecture is stunning and brilliant. It's amazing how well it fits into the natural environment. The rooms were quite comfortable and cosy, and the cuisine was excellent. Anyone wishing to get away from the stressful urban lifestyle should definitely check it out. The staff were exceedingly gentlemanly and competent. Of course, I would return.

Great experience staying and dining in Heritance Kandalama. Loving the room's view observing the reservoir and vastness of green. Monkeys can be seen from your room, avoid interaction (or maybe just interact! for fun!).

We had an amazing stay at the Heritance Kandalama. We came for our honeymoon, and they were kind enough to upgrade us to the panoramic room which had the most amazing views. The food, service and location were all flawless. A special call out to Dominic Mariano (our guest relations executive) who was incredibly attentive and made sure we were looked after throughout our entire stay. A big thank you to Dominic and the whole team - it’s an amazing place!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay here with the family. The staff are the real highlight of the property since they make your stay feel like as if you’re at home. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was fantastic and the chefs are brilliant and very professional! They run a tight ship! Definite home away from home for us for this part of our Country.

I travelled with my family during our vacation. It was a memorable stay and enjoyed every moment spent at this lovely place. Our room was luxurious,Cousy clean and tidy with a beautiful view facing the Kandalama lake.Their food was delicious and had a variety of where you can pick what you like. They some dishes made where anyone who is really careful with their dietary intake can have a choice.Also they make their own ice cream and jam and pickles. Would really recommend for anyone as their facilities are exceptional and perfect.

We stayed in Kandalam during our honeymoon and we absolutely loved the experience. The hotel had blended so well with the nature and it was quite clam and peace full. The staff so super friendly and so attentive. Food was great! We enjoyed every bit of it. I highly recommend it!

I’ve visited there with my husband just for two days. Honestly speaking that, Heritance Kandalama has the best Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner buffets I have ever seen. All food items and beverages were great. And they have a good variety of foods.
But the room we have had is not very nice. It has a jacuzzi and all the other facilities but they were old. Door of the room was not functioning properly.
Service of the staff is in the satisfactory state.

The location is really the highlight of the property, with fantastic views of the lake and nearby mountains, marsh, and the Lion Rock!

This hotel does not disappoint. We were a bit cynical about visiting this property owing to how old it is. However the upkeep is great and we enjoyed the charm of the hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Quite crowded but the staff was always willing to assist. We did a hotel tour and learned many interesting facts about the architecture and the history of the property. Picturesque and tranquil views and we managed to catch a glimpse of the hot air balloons in the early hours.

Magnificent place. Views are great and you get to see monkeys and view of sygriya Rock. Staffs were amazing and food was great. Definitely needs more then two nights as there is so much to do. I would recommend Cave experience as must to do.

Hotel was amazing and in a great location! Loved the morning and evening buffet as well as everything you can do nearby. If you’re coming do the area this hotel is a must!

Truly a great location between a lake and forest. We had a fabulous time at the hotel. Excellent hospitality and service. Restaurant Manager Sarath and Head chef Amila together with staff really accorded great service and looked after us being vegetarian. All staff very friendly and welcoming.
