The Blue Water Hotel and Spa

Welcoming staff who were most deferential at all times across the hotel. Very nice grounds by the beach with plenty of room and loungers for all. Two large pools joined by a narrow swim through. Everywhere kept spink ad span. Dining by a large fish lake, choice of eating outside or in. The dessert were especially delicious. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience staying in this hotel for two days, including one night. The hotel offered a variety of food options, and we even had a party there at night. The food was okay, although some dishes had taste issues compared to other hotels. Nevertheless, there were plenty of food choices available.

We had a great time during our stay, but we encountered some difficulties during the check-in process. We had to wait for more than 4 hours in the hotel premises while they arranged the rooms. However, the rooms themselves were very clean and nice. There was a mix-up, as they initially gave us a couple's room instead of the room for four people that we had requested. Thankfully, they quickly rectified the mistake by providing us with two extra beds.

One major issue we faced was with the design of the washrooms. They were designed for couples, with no door locks and transparent glass. This made it uncomfortable for us to use the washrooms. We had to manage the situation, but it was a significant inconvenience. We believe the management should be more responsible and address these issues before guests check in. Otherwise, the hotel's five-star rating loses its meaning.

Please consider this feedback seriously so that improvements can be made. Overall, our experience was enjoyable, but there are areas where the hotel can make significant enhancements.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel at the end of January. The friendly staff greeted us with a glass of freshly squeezed juice, which instantly created an atmosphere of hospitality and warmth. The manager Duminda was always ready to help us with any questions, which added confidence in our choice. Breakfast has a wide variety of dishes and fruits. The chefs will prepare an omelet or a Sri Lankan egg basket. Every time we ate, it was delicious. The large and lively area of ​​the hotel amazes with its diversity, and at breakfast we met beautiful herons and even saw playful fish swimming in an artificial pond, sometimes we could even watch chipmunks. The warm sea with a clean beach is very close, and the active sun, although not for long, requires the use of sunscreen. I can't help but mention the large swimming pool and well-equipped gym, which added variety to our holiday. This place really left a pleasant impression, we will definitely come back here again!

Such a beautiful hotel surrounded by greenery and water features! The ambiance is also very calm and serene. We went for their Saturday International dinner buffet. There was a good spread with a lot if varieties including Sri Lankan, Indian, Italian, Mexican and Western cuisines. When compared to other 5 star hotels, the price was also reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

A lovely hotel and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful the buffet breakfast and dinner was very varied and great quality and can easily say its the best tasting food I've ever had in a hotel needless to say I've put on a load of weight. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the pool and was clean and very spacious it's a great looking place the gardens were lovely it was like being in the middle of a jungle there was no shortage of sunbeds which made a nice change ive been to alot of beachside hotels on my travels and would highly recommend this place as one of the best

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The hotel upgraded our rooms and those were both spacious and luxurious. The staff's courteous service added a personal touch to the experience, making it truly delightful. The large and not-so-crowded pool provided a relaxing experience, and the delicious buffet exceeded expectations with its variety and quality. This hotel sets a high standard for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

My third visit always enjoyable to be in such a beautiful place. The architecture is stunning and whilst some modernization of the rooms is welcome it’s important that the concept of serenity and space intended by the architect isn’t sacrificed to pander to contemporary tastes.

We highly recommend staying at this hotel. service at the highest level. On the occasion of our honeymoon, Duminda sent us to the beautiful Glenros Living Kalutara villa. Duminda also looked after us throughout the trip and was very helpful.

I highly recommend this hotel as it has such a serene and impressive atmosphere with lots of water ponds that are beautiful and well maintained. The buffet was quite good but bit disappointed with the starters and the salad corner as it lacked variety but overall, the food was scrumptious. The rooms were clean and orderly and the staff was friendly.

Recently went there to get dinner from one of their restaurants and had fish and chips and pork with mashed potatoes. Both were really good and also we enjoyed a mojito too. Prices are on the higher end but food and experience was good

I recently stayed at a hotel and had a pleasant experience in my room. The room was clean with comfortable bedding and a spacious layout. The amenities provided were satisfactory, including a flat-screen TV, The bathroom was clean and stocked with fresh towels and toiletries. The room had a nice view over looking the pool and sea which added to the overall ambiance. The staff was friendly and accommodating, The only downside was that the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak at times. Overall, I would recommend this hotel room for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Amazing experience in Sri Lanka and staying at the blue water hotel and spa. The staff are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel isn’t over crowded and is nice and quiet. Felt very safe and content

Booked for 23rd december at blue waters. From the booking it was very smooth process. Lithara receptionist was a delight and hotel staff was very polite and friendly overall. Buffet contained crabs, prawns and other sea food. Rooms were really well mainted and it was overall delightful stay. We would definitely visit again!

I recently visited Blue Water Hotel and was impressed by the calm environment and the quality of the food. The staff was friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. However, there’s some room for improvement in the service. Overall, a great place for a relaxing getaway.

Had a very nice stay, stuff was friendly, the pool was clean and very large, the food was excellent and the beach was clean and easily accessible. The rooms are nicely designed, clean and the bed very comfortable. Thank you stuff for a relaxing vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Waters. It's a wonderful getaway from Colombo that is not too far away.

Pros:
Great customer service. Our stay was enhanced by the care and response of the staff working at the hotel, particularly Shereen from Dining, Kushani from Welcome and Reception, and Charith from the Pool.
The pool side is great, and you get greeted by green parrots at some point of the day.
Good variety of food!

Slight Con:
The spa is a bit dated and could use a refresh and some new towels. However, the treatments were good.

Me and my family enjoyed the stay, unfortunately my son was sick the night we arrived but the hotel staff were very helpful in all ways.

We stayed at the Blue Water Hotel for 2 weeks and it was really great!
The room, the food and the staff!! The room was beautifully decorated and perfectly cleaned by Rachhinta Heshan and also the staff at the reception (Kishen and Dilshan), the waiters (especially Kavishka and Malki) and the barstaff were really friendly and treated us perfect.
We felt really welcomed and safe in this hotel and had a relaxed time there!

It was awesome, the big pool and everything is ok, food was good, international food and Sri Lanka food also was good.
