Curry and Rice Habarana

Exceptional value for money!

I recently indulged in Curry & Rice lunch buffet, and I must say, it was an experience to remember.

It offers a delightful variety of authentic Sri Lankan dishes with impeccable cleanliness with friendly staff.

We have eaten here twice in two days and will definitely visit again. The food is excellent and really good value. They also do a lunchtime buffet, but we haven't had a chance to try yet. The service is friendly.
We are vegetarian and on the first night we wanted curry and rice. They made us a variation on the menu especially and brought out a large number of really tasty dishes.

The second night we had the biryani (probably vegan although we only specified vegetarian so would need to check for ghee) and the speciality crispy vegetable platter ( wouldn't be vegan as egg in the batter which we were told, and so the chef is clearly aware of specific dietary requirements and is easy to communicate with).
The place itself is really nice in a timber framed hut type setting but you will need insect repellent especially if eating at dusk...as with any open air restaurant in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend.

Partner and I came for lunch. Priced at 850 rs per person. I ate all vegetables and no meat. Papadum triangle was a bit salty than what I am used too. No issue though. My partner had almost everything. He has a preference for a chicken or pork dish however he liked the lake fish. Lovely, clean setting and was almost empty when we arrived on Sunday around 1:50pm. Chef was cleanly dressed in his white attire so cute because there was no one there to impress but I was! Give it a try for lunch.

Perfect place spend time and take your meal.decent buffet with 5 or 6 curries .delicious food and friendly staff and service. Parking available. Highly recommended for cheap meal.

Environmental friendly Calm and comfortable Atmosphere to sit and break the fast. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.

We tried Sri Lankan rice and curry buffet served on clay pot which was fabulous in look with different verity of curries. The flavor was nice and we had a fried fish extra potion which was also good in taste.

People who were traveling, looking for a great meal near habarana will definitely try this place And i would like to mention The Washroom facilities were also very clean & tidy.

Had a amazing tasting lunch during our visit to sigiriya. food was amazing and restaurant also well cleaned. the staff was really friendly. we’ll debate visit again

The service was impeccable, the waiters English was very impressive.

The food was unbelievably delicious. The best flavours yet.

They even helped us get a tuk tuk back to our hotel after.

Perfect place to spend some time, get good food and rest! The buffet looked and tasted amazing! They made a special plate for the kids. Everybody there was very friendly and welcoming!

Great place to enjoy a nice traditional rice and curry in Habarana. A decent buffet with a spread of 4 to 5 curries was available @ 750 per person. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and great atmosphere!
The owner of the restaurant is a very friendly person, we felt very much welcomed.
The tea was great as well as curry. The portion is huge and definitely enough for a hungry person :)

Dropped in for lunch, a private restaurant. Had their buffet. Food was mildly spicy and mostly Sri Lankan rice and curry. They were busy when we went but they were very nice and accommodating. You can order refreshments or make special requests. They made some bullseye eggs for the kids. Thanks so much

Really had a nice lunch at here. Foods are delicious and tasty too. All are Sri Lankan styled foods. Nice view. And a nice time at here. Place is neat and clean. They have their own car park also. Nice family restaurant. I just enjoyed it 🥰

Clean venue with parking for over a dozen of vehicles. Nice ambience created but the owner. Taste, quality and freshness of the food is 4 out of 5. There is a squirrel roaming around the food when we were there, one time it even ate from the big spoons near rice. Those should be looked into as there might be dieseas which these animals carry. But then again this might be a one time thing. The food overall is tasty and the staff is very kind

Had a great dinner meal which was pure veg noodles and veg masala with rice.

Nuwantha and Chamara took great care of us. Loved the fresh, made to order, meal. Just what we were looking for, at a fair price.

The price and food here were incredible! I had lunch here on my first day in Habarana. They didn't have a menu when I was there. I asked the staff for vegetarian curries. They brought out four types of curries to eat with rice. The food wasn't that hot (temperature) but it was still good. The restaurant is fun by a family. There were kids there doing their homework.

Superb place with amazing atmosphere. The foods are absolutely delicious and the price seems affordable ( Rs.800/per head Lunch).
