Arena Hotel

A super luxurious hotel with exquisite food on it's roof top restaurant. Top quality coffee watching boats on the river. Polite staff & not mess anywhere. A must stay if you can.

Finally found good coffee with great friendly service with a smile. Loved the hot chocolate , watermelon juice too. Great location beside the water, with no nasty smells.

You can sit at the river side bar or climb to the roof of the Arena hotel and watch the fruit bats roosting in the trees opposite. The mangrove swamps are an amazing boat trip which can be taken from here. Bamboos took us on a two hour boat trip from the waterside bar. Our barman, Sameera came with us. He is so knowledgeable about all the wildlife. They both were expert at spotting all kinds of animals and plants. Bamboos took us down various little inlets to find monitors, monkeys, and even a crocodile. I have never seen so many kingfishers darting into the water and so near to the boat. We even saw two rarer owls roosting. When we had finished enjoying the river, Bamboos took us under the bridge to where the river meets the Indian Ocean. An amazing sight, with the calm flatness of the river meeting the waves that seemed to hold the sea a good two feet higher than the river. An extremely enjoyable two hours!

Samith and Lakshman did a wonderful service. We had grilled cuttlefish and fried seafood noodles - both were phantastic. We come again.

Visited the sky restaurant and choose chicken breast wich was a real pleaser to eat. The service was excellent from Samith and the chef in kitchen did a great job to get the food so tasty 😋 . I will highly recommend a visit to the restaurant and throughout the daytime you have a wonderful oversize over the area.

If you’re looking for a place where to relax and stay, this place would be the best. The coffee and pastries that they had were so delicious. I really like this place because the ambiance of this shop was so relaxing, and not too crowded as well. The staffs are highly capable, so friendly and pleasant to talk with. I could not ask for more because everything that I needed was provided.

stayed two night on Honey Moon room, absolutely amazing place and The room was nicely decorated, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting

Lovely cafe on the river front. Good service and food was good. We had the seafood rice and nasigoreng dish.

Nice view with the river bank and Bird's eye view from the roof top.. food was good and staff was very friendly... Rooms were really comfortable than expected they were able to maintain the standards of all the amenities.. easy access to many attraction points

It’s nice cozy serene place for a family to spend time. Lots of activities around specially those who enjoy boat rides and water sports. Beach is not too far away. Hospitable staff, good food and relaxing ambience.

The staffs were extremely friendly and awesome hospitality. They planned my husband's birthday suprise exactly as I directed them. Superb location and the view. The suite room is the best. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Please do not hesitate you would love the stay there. We were super reluctant to leave the hotel. The receptionist and the room service, the restaurant & coffee shop staffs. Everyone had an amazing attitude. I'm sure tourists are going to love it

They provide boat service to Bentota beach. Just plan it early morning or night hours.

It was really great to be here. Everyone is super friendly from cleaners to owners. The food in the restaurant is so amazing you just don’t want to leave the hotel. The rooms are really clean and the large double bed is very comfy! Verythoughtful to offer water and a free papaya juice!
