Our visit to Yale Kandy Place was nothing less than wonderful. The place is new and is still evolving. The rooms have an industrial-modern meets South West feel to it, sprinkled with Eastern flare which we found unique and interesting. The rooms are spacious and the views are amazing. We were upgraded to their best room with a beautiful view which was a fun surprise. Yes, there were some bugs on the grounds outside and minimal bugs inside, but that is to be expected in any tropical country. In fact, there are hardly any bugs at all considering they don't use any chemicals. They keep the environment pristine, meaning no chemicals, which allows the natural wildlife there to coexist--allowing for beautiful birds and other animals to stay near. They have 4 very sweet dogs, 4 horses and a cat--all animals are well-cared for and tame. I was very pleased to discover that they work from an environmental and animal-friendly view point. The staff was kind, friendly and helpful. If you need anything, all you have to do is ask and they go out of their way to help. The owner and the staff made sure our stay there comfortable and convenient. They also helped us get transportation when needed. The food was prepared fresh daily in the main dining room. The food was one of the highlights of staying there-- the chicken curry for dinner was amazing and the breakfast noodles were delicious and all food was beautifully presented. As if that were not enough, we dined on the veranda with an amazing view for us to see, both in the morning and also evening, when the sun was setting. The staff offered to take us on a horse ride and we were so glad that we took them up on their offer. The view in the morning up the mountain was stunning! If you don't care for horses, you could take a nice hike up the path to see the beautiful views (about 1+ hour each way). The hotel is about thirty minutes away from Kandy, which at first seemed like an inconvenience, however, it turned out to be a peaceful haven away from the hustle of the city. The drive up and down the mountain is an experience in itself, and was scenic with fresh air. We were very happy with our experience there and will stay there again if we return to Kandy.

Best experience of our stay in kandy and the most luxurious accommodation we’ve been to! So much detail paid into the decor. Breathtaking location (although difficult to get to). The food is superb, variety of courses for breakfast all freshly cooked. It is a tad expensive but all beautifully cooked so worth it. Best of all are the animals on the location. Dogs are very happy and well kept for Sri Lankan standards. Cats were very needy but also adorable. Horses look a little slim with some limping though and I’m not sure they were allowed out for very long. But the staff were friendly. Highly recommended!

Yale Kandy Park is in the perfect location for those who want to find a peaceful and luxurious place to hang out. We stayed in a deluxe villa for two nights. It featured breathtaking mountain views, complete with our own infinity lap pool and jacuzzi. One entire wall of the villa was constructed of glass so we had unfettered views throughout the villa and even from the jacuzzi! The in house chef made us a smorgasbord of delicious Sri Lankan dishes for dinner and breakfast included a broad spread of Sri Lankan food. It's probably 45min away from Kandy up a secluded road so not ideal if you want to duck in and out of Kandy quickly. Not so much of a problem if you have your own driver. The hotel also had a nice informal touch with very friendly staff.

Best place to stay in Kandy. Super calm and full of nature sounds. Breathtaking views and super luxury villas. Infinity pool in every villa. Good food and tea options available in their restaurant. Friendly staff with quick service and experience. Must visit place when you come to Kandy. If you're near Kandy or planning to visit Kandy add this place to your bucket list. Recommended time to go there is after 4.30pm to see the most beautiful sunset in Sri Lanka. Helipad and horse rides are available on your request. Easy to reach by a private vehicle. A large play area for children. Eco friendly place and romantic getaway.

Stayed two nights here and while at first unsure whether we made the right choice in staying somewhere outside Kandy I was really glad we did! This is the perfect place to stay to relax, view was amazing, hotel host was attentive, helpful and put up some incredible meals.
