Worth a trip! Frankly, I was a bit sceptical about driving all the way here from Riga, but I am glad I came here. The scale of this palace is bigger than I thought, and there is a lot to see and enjoy.

The digital guide which we connect to our phone was really useful, and it helped me understand each of the room better. We would need at least 2-3 hours to tour around the whole palace and have a coffee or lunch in its cafeteria downstairs.

The only thing that kind of bothered was the way to the palace was all very muddy, and I hope they improve on this.

There’s parking near the castle, a short walk over probably 10 minutes. You can purchase ticket in the building before the castle. You can bring your own earbuds for audio during the tour. There’s different sections in the castle for you to view.

It is one of the best palaces I have seen in Europe. There are 138 rooms, and it can take up to half or whole day, depending on your interest, to visit and enjoy each and every room. The rooms have different colors and designs and they are very beautiful. The garden is also gorgeous and has so many different flowers. The garden can also take up to a few hours. The Palace has a restaurant on the ground floor when you exist on the 2nd floor. I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful palace.

A very nice place to go visit. Only nitpick is perhaps it is too big ... if you really want to consume the story or the paintings or even the gardens outside, then you need more than a day.... this place is huge

That said it is beautiful, spectacle and really full of nice and interesting stories and items..

Definitely worth a visit.. both the gardens and the museum itself

Magnificent Palace ❤worth to visit
13€ it's more than a fair price for the Palace and the gardens 2 hours of a fairy tale. It's the number 1 spot to visit in Latvia
Very well-preserved palace and gardens, knowledgeable staff, a nice coffee shop and souvenir shop
Few car parks around and also a few guest's houses with good food and not too cheap prices.
Have fun

Beautiful castle and gardens. Excellent audio guide (download for free, free WiFi available throughout the property, don't forget to bring your headset). Major refurbishment work had to be done as the property was not adequately maintained during the communist occupation.

Rundale Museum and Gardens is a perfect family day out. The family ticket, priced at 16 euros, covers two adults and two kids, offering great value. The museum exhibits are well-curated, showcasing art and artifacts with informative descriptions. Don't miss the beautiful gardens, which require an additional ticket for just 10 euros (including a 50% discount). The staff is friendly, and the facilities are well-maintained. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Rundale Museum and Gardens for a memorable and affordable experience.

A stunning palace with fascinating history. Getting a guide is a must - ours was simply superb and brought the palace to life with her incredible knowledge and storytelling!

The gardens are gorgeous too!

A must see when in Latvia. The territory is huge.
Make sure to have enough time to visit it all. 3 hours is enough if you just want to see beautiful places without delving too much into its history and the whole lore.
The garden, on the other hand, was a little bit underwhelming (some parts seemed neglected). Altogether worth its price:)

There is possibility to park in free working lot and then walk to ticket office. There are tickets for temporary exhibitions, the palace and the gardens. The palace was built by German origin dukes and then soon taken over by tsarist Russians. The interiors are very elegant.
The gardens are huge and beautifully arranged and maintained. Different types of flowers and bushes to enjoy a walk through. Separate ticket required.

The most beautiful palace in the Baltic with a really good free audio guide. It's of course inspired by the Palace of Versailles, but it's the best replica I've seen.

🕍 In my opinion this one of the most beautiful palaces in the Baltic states 💫

The palace was built in two periods, from 1736 until 1740 and from 1764 until 1768.

➡ Buy the tickets 🎟 for both the palace and the amazing garden 💐 you need at least minimum of 3 hours to see both.

The architect for both the palace and garden was the Saint Petersburg based Italian Mr. Francesco Bartolomeu Rastrelli.

Beautiful neoclassicism style palace, the largest in all Baltic states. There are a lot of spectacular rooms to see and a beautiful park around the palace.

Absolutely amazing place to visit and would recommend any tourists have this high up their list of things to do in Latvia! There are options of Latvian, English, Lithuanian, Estonian and I think German when reading about the art so no problems there!

From what I could tell most of the staff spoke Latvian and English but obviously it's always good to know the basics when visiting to make life easier for everyone.

Better to take a bus from Riga and walk at your own pace if you're not much of a tour person. There is an app that tells the story in each room. Bringing a telephone and headphones do help.

Beautiful castle, painstakingly restored. The decor of the rooms is amazing, dripping with opulence. The gardens with an amazing variety of roses is also worth a visit.
