Restaurant "Postman's House" ("Pastnieka māja")

A beautiful place in the old town of Liepaja. Authentic building, great outdoor terrace. Peaceful environment, excellent service. The traditional "Liepājas menciņi" was amazing. Thank you for a well spent afternoon, we will definitely be back.

Excellent food and service. Beautiful backyard. Hot dishes cost around 10-12 Euro. I took the ribs (12 Euro) and they were great.The chicken was great as well. For kids they have fries (letters) with tomato and cucumber. Beer costs 4,5 Euro. They also have a corner for kids where my kids played. To sum up everything was great just the price could be a bit lower.

I really enjoyed the service and the food. The staff was friendly and professional. We chose salmon carpacco - Super! - tomato mozarello and grilled pork. Everything delicious. Cosy inner yard to sit otside. I recommend. And thank you for the staff!

Place is nice and cozy. Service was pleasant and polite. Waitress even came to ask if food is good after few bites. I ordered duck breath, it was soft and perfectly cooked. My girl ate local fish with cod fish, well... The only comment would be too many potatoes in comparison to the cod. Bill with 2 beers 31€, definitely worth it. Recommend!

Great choice for a good restaurant. Can't understand the other reviews. The waiter told us that it could take some time for the food to be prepared, no problem at all as the local beer makes time go by easy.

Cozy place in the oldtown in Liepaja. Perfect menu for all types of dinner. Have even vegetarian menu. Reasonable prices. Will come back for sure.

Good local food. Servers speak English, Russian and Latvian. Prices are good. They have WiFi, place is clean, music not to loud. Been here twice in two years and no change in quality. That's rare now a days.

Great food, the waiter was very friendly, food came within 30 minutes of ordering, everything was very tasty and fresh.

Great restaurant. Food is very delicious, I tried the local dish - jummy! Interior is nice, loads of outdoor space. Worth a visit.

The seasonal dish - rabbit - was superb! Sweat, juicy and tender. The place is very cozy, staff is friendly and the location is great. Definitely worth returning.

Main course price is in the range of 10-14€. Good quality for this price segment. The only would be good to see bit more friendly smile on the waiters' faces.

Service slow but actually good price/performance we got freshly cooked and tasty food for a reasonable price (so putting 5 stars cause this place definitely better than 4.1 average it currently has) .

No loud music , some space for kids, dishes we ordered were more like home kichen rather than something fancy and portions was also big.

Seems slow service this is well-known feature by locals cause this place was recommended "in case you have time".

Nice place, where you can taste local, but also 'clasical' cuisine, they have also wide variety of vegetarian meals. English-friendly.

Awesome! Fast and friendly service, great food, central location, lovely atmosphere, unlike on the Moon (there's no atmosphere) 🙂 The waiter (Senijs, if I remember well) was absolutely fabulous, and even said he was learning Lithuanian, so we taught him Gira for Kvass (which was delicious as well, btw). Overall, highly recommended.

Delicious Latvian food in a beautiful and cosy building. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good menu and drink selection. I'd recommend to anyone staying in Liepaja and will be going back!
