Jānis Sauka, veikals Ādaži

Janis Sauka is mainly known for their butcher's shop. However, this location has a lot more to offer than quality cuts of meat. Here we have the butcher shop, a patisserie with a great selection of really elaborate cakes and delicious pastries, and there's also a cafe with some really premium meals. It's a canteen style cafe; you will choose your items from the selection behind the counter and you pay by weight.

I love this place. Food is delicious and service is amazing even during busy times.

The best bakery in Latvia! You shouldn't miss a chance to visit it if you are near Adaži! I recommend to all, for breakfast, lunch, drink or a quick snack...staff very friendly and food delicious!!!

Delicious pastries! Lots to choose from, lots of flavour for your pallet.

This is by far the vest Cafe in the area! It is quiet, the service is excellent and everyrhing tastes great. The shop isn't just a Cafe though, it is also a deli where you can buy fresh meats and other foods, you can get smoothies, ice cream and there is hot lunch that is made and served here along side the baked goods.

All around it is an amazing little shop and it is definitely worth stopping by!

Their coffee and baked goods are almost perfect . The price of the food is towards the higher end but the quality is there.

Delicious food, big portions. There is a small kids corner with cosy tables for parents.

I had lunch with a colleague of mine yesterday and we’re both looking forward to revisiting. I had my lunch here once before but the great selection of dishes still offers me plenty to choose from.
Pastry and coffee was fantastic as well. They do pastries very well in Copenhagen where I come from, but baristas sadly cannot make good coffee if their lives depended on it… In the Janis Sauka bistro/bakery they served be the best cup of coffee I had in a long time.
Both times I have visited the staff were so kind and helpful and spoke very good English.

Note that my review regards the bistro and bakery/café part of the establishment. I have no experience with the butcher though it looks very attractive as well!

I would say this is one of the best butcher's shop that I ever visit. Also worth to mention that shop has second half which has cafeteria and bakery shop. All products are high quality one and very tasty. Would recommend to anyone who keep himself out of vegetarian options or looking for something sweet for the evening.

Great choice of meat and it's always fresh. Prices are average, smth is higher than average though. But meat subproducts (e.g. sausages etc.) are really pricey for "simple medium class" people 😄 In the morning you can get some cow or pig bones (until not sold out 😂). Pity that there's no whole chicken to buy :))) Also bad situation sometimes with veal and lamb 🤭
The bakery and café are marvellous! The greatest bakery in Ādaži and best place to buy something sweet or salty for coffee/tea.
Also staff is very good, will help you choose from all variety. Place is clean, by the way.

Amazing place in the heart of Adazi. They offer not only fresh and delicious pastries, but also big variety of warm food to eat right there or take away.
We visit this place each time we go to Adazi, and almost always some of staff gave my little daughter a gift - fresh bun. :) it is super nice!
The staff is very smiling and friendly!
