Gauja National Park

A very nice place to visit. It has a diverse list if places to visit: castles, valleys, rivers, caves, bridges, etc. I have visited all regions in Lithuania and I didn't expect such nice scenaries anywhere in Baltic countries. From the castle tower you can see only trees around for multiple kilometers. There is an interesting industrial village as well (Ligatne). I recommend to visit this national park.

Best Nature Park of Latvia, there is so much to see: Sigulda castles, Cēsis, Ligatne, and many other sights along the Gauja river.

Great place for a day long walk with some lovely bits of nature and history all around. Trail is easy to follow.

It is really beautiful in Summer time.I went Gauja National Park on Weekend and that trip was really awesome.you can walk down in National Park and enjoy the beauty of Nature. You can do so many things Here,Boating,Swimming,Tracking,Kayking.We went for a Boating trip from Sigulda to Ramkalni(20 Km Approx Boating).It was an amazing weekend.
If you want to enjoy,then Take some food and Drink with you.Walk in Park and enjoy the true beauty of Nature.

Wonderful area of forest full of interesting museums, churches, castles, cable car, caves and attractions. Great for walks too.

Had no idea it is possible to do so much climbing up and down in Latvia. Hiking trail was fun and seeing different animals on the way was extra bonus. No special equipment needed and totally fine for kids as well.

So peaceful, green and quiet place with wild blueberry and amazing caves! We came here with our two kids and it was interesting for all of us!

I would definitely recommend this national park if you are up to fresh air walk, scenic views and medieval castle.
The castle has a small museum inside, so you read about the history of this place. And of course a great view opens up from the castle top.

Epic views, easy hiking trails, plus you get to visit quaint little towns with awesome food.

The Gauja National Park is very beautiful. You can do a lot here, from climbing over hiking to canoeing. The nature is very beautiful.

We enjoyed an extended walk through the paths of this wonderful park. Beautiful scenery with Gauja river surrounded by a dense forest. In some parts only there are some really hungry mosquitos. Having a long sleeve t-shirt with you would be a good idea.Sigulda (one of the starting points) is a nice town.Krimulda is also a beautiful village and worths a stop, if the route you've chosen passes from there. Ideal for relaxation and coming closer to nature.

Absolutely amazing area...If you visit Latvia, you have to visit Gauja...great nature, great people, wildness with steps of great history....

A great place to have walks, romantic or with a family, watch wild animals and otherwise enjoy nature. Watch tower puts you into a completely different world to what is usual. Seeing tree tops so close was very inspiring!

Nice place to have a walk in the forest! If you're lucky you might see some animals like bears, dears, boars (over the fence) 😊
