It’s a wonder! The trek is awesome. We went in the month of November so the trek was not crowded. The view from the top is awesome.
Our guide mentioned that Tsingy De Bemaraha meant tip toeing bare feet on pointy edges. Their ancestors used to do so. The limestone formations are a delight to watch and definitely worth the long drive we had to take to actually reach here. I also tried to climb the Tarzan rope.

Tsingy (translated as walking on tiptoes) is an amazing place of geological wonder that is a focal point in both Madagascan and African (as a continent) history. Our guide, Max, was very knowledgable and took us on a well-paced tour of the park, inclusive of looking in the forest for lemurs and other creatures and climbing Tsingy itself. Walking boots are a much as some of the terrain is a bit sharp, and you can only access the park via 4x4.

I did the Great and the Small Tsingy hikes. Worth the long trip from Morondava. The official guides from the park are excellent and if you need an English speaking guide, Edila (or simply EL) is your woman. Fluent in English, super nice and very knowledgeable. She made the trip really fun for us.

This is so much more than just another day trip in the forest. We arrived at the parking area in our 4x4s and were strapped into climbing harnesses and started our journey into the forest and them the limestone pinnacles that make Tsingy famous. The loop we took was about 4 to 5 hours round trip with stops for photos and marvelling at the place we had encountered. Thinking we had accomplished the hardest bit on the way in, we still found ourselves in a obstacle course of small caves and tunnels, ladders, and footholds, along with plenty of rock scrambling and scaling to reach the end of the hike.
The hike is intense, but so worth the scratches and bruises. Good walking/hiking shoes and gloves recommended for climbing over sharp rocks.

A must if you go to Madagascar! I enjoyed everything single step of it which more than just another tour. This is an adventure.
The history of the Tsingy, the road, the hike, the nature around is all worth the effort to make it there !
I even had the chance to meet Lemurs.

The site is absolutely beautiful and full of powerful energy. It feels great to be in the caves when it's really hot.

I went on trip with the amazing human being Gibert Ramorasata (fb) and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I loved it, DO NOT MISS IT.

It’s worth the long journey !
Not easy (and cheap) to get there but it’s beautiful place. Like any NP in Madagascar you’ve have to have a guide (which was new to me, guide + entrance + taxes =275k ar or 70usd for 2, most expensive NP i’ve ever been in the world, i’m fairly doubtful about the effect of this policy on tourism on the long run), so pick the right one 😉

We did the “big tsingy”, it’s still fairly short and easy, even if sometimes it looks more like climbing than hiking but nothing hard.
Sold as a 3-4h hike, without breaks it’s doable in 1h or so for anyone in shape.

Lemur spotting and breathtaking panoramas, despite the price i wish we stayed one more day.

Tsingy de Bemahara National Park is unique in the world and located in the southwest of Madagascar. This trip is a true exploration of nature and an expedition in nature. Plan a week to cross the Tsingy and go down the river. You have to rent an all-terrain vehicle to get there. Official paid tourist guides are at your disposal. A guided tour is highly recommended if you really want to explore the Tsingy.

Pictures don't do it justice, this is an incredible place worth your visit. The guides that are there with the park are excellent as well - we had a great 2-day experience and everyone here runs a great operation. Highly recommend not only the adventure but also the people that make it happen.

Riding a 200km dirt road, plus two river crossings from Morondava to the park. It well worths the effort. Visits to the Great and Small Tsingy were great. Views at the top of the Tsingy were impressive.

Astonishing place, hard to reach(1day by 4x4), some basic alpinist skill needed if you do the 4 hours hike

It's a park with karst formations identical to Shilin Stone Forest in China so if you've seen Shilin don't waste your time. All others ... you're looking at straining 4×4 ride from Morondava onwards but it's totally worth it. The place is Godly! Antananarivo to Morondava is paved road.
You MUST hire a driver who will pick you up at Antananarivo airport and will organize everything for you. You'll see Avenue Of Baobabs on the way there. Driver will ask for 20% in advance but don't worry, he will NOT screw you over. I'm talking about any driver that you find online who does this. They care about reputation and are very honest people.
Morondava to here is the entire day drive on bumpy dirt road almost all the way.
You cannot do this one on your own.
Once you're here they'll take you to a 4h moderately easy hike through the stone formations. (didn't see children) Highly recommended if you're looking at what to do and see in Madagascar.

Tsingy du Bemaraha is a huge nature reserve in Madagascar, which consists of limestone cliffs that go up to 40 meters into the sky. The reserve is located on the west coast of the island.

It was created to protect karst landscapes and different types of lemurs. The area of the Tsingy de Bemaraha Nature Reserve is 1,500 km². For the most part, it consists of impenetrable labyrinths. These are ridges of limestone battlements, which the locals call "scurvy", which means "to walk on tiptoe".

An amazing park and an amazing experience, but come prepared. Hiking boots, long pants, and lots of water. It is an intense hike with lots of steep ups and downs. You’ll wear a harness so know what you’re getting into. It’ll easily take 5 hours and you need a guide. But you do get to see lemurs and birds and great views. Enjoy!

Grande Tsingy: Most rustic park we visited, but the most protected - likely because of the spiritual significance. Not accessible to people with 'size or mobility' restrictions (narrow caves, low passageways, narrow stairs). Worth the 3 day trek to get there, and you're sure to meet interesting travelers on the way.

EASY hike through the Big Tsingy, even in sandals. Metal cables to hook on to, ladders, viewing platforms, and 21 meter suspensión bridge are expertly fixed by the French. Multiple trails to take in / out and varied. There are no claustrophobic "caves" A few easily managed tight sis like Petra, Jordan (in Indiana Jones). Only 5,000 steps. I only overheard one lady from L.A. in her 30's say the next day she was a little sore, which I find hard to believe. She must be a couch potato in Hollywood! There are 2 kinds of wild lemurs in the surrounding forest - the red-breasted brown lemurs that walk on all 4 AND the black faced white lemur that walks on 2 feet. They're wild, so they are mostly up in the trees, sometimes in groups of 3 looking down at you or running from branch to branch. There are also yellow breasted something or other birds feeding on insects in flight and LOTS of little brown birds. More BROWN BIRDS! Maybe birders know the difference and care. Some look all day for days just to find some of the endemic species they flew a long way to see.
