Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa

Our stay at Sunscape resort was amazing. There was plenty of entertainment, the staff made sure to keep the place upbeat and had good energy all around. During the day there was lots of different dance performances. We participated in a dance class with Luis. He was so creative with the routines and made it very easy for us to follow along. He made these dances so fun, was definitely the highlight of our day! Every morning we went for breakfast at the buffet, we would choose to sit in Mario’s section as he would go above and beyond for us to make sure our meal was good and that we had everything we needed. All the bartenders were amazing especially Omar at the swim up bar, and Nestor at the bar inside. They Worked efficiently to serve everyone in a timely manor and were very sweet overall.

Had the best time! Luis was so fun and made sure we were entertained by the pool!! Do a dance class with him, I promise you won’t regret it! The staff were all so welcoming and helpful, we will definitely be coming back :)

My first go for the all-inclusive thing and I have to say it was SO MUCH FUN!

The staff at Sunscape are all top notch. From the great dining & drinks, to the endless activities and enthusiasm coming from the rec staff. We played beach volleyball, tennis, bocce, mini golf, and used the gym regularly and it was all fantastic.

Tons of healthy and decadent options at the restaurants and with a changing buffet menu, it's always something different. DOn't miss seafood night - OH my goodness.

Don't be fooled by the three star rating on those booking sites - it's not the most modern of resorts, but it's so well kept and the food & staff are amazing - you hardly notice.

Once you're here get treated so well and it seriously does the trick for a fun week away, where you can really kick back and have a great time. Highly recommended.

An amazing vacation I will never forget!! This resort is amazing! But what made our trip absolutely unforgettable were the staff. They were truly some of the most kind, genuine and fun workers I have ever met that cared about making your experience the very best. Let me begin with the entertainment team - Neto, Anahi, Rodrigo and Alan were the most amazing individuals I have ever met. They always made sure we were having a good time. The activities they ran were extremely fun including the water aerobic classes, water volleyball and the dance classes. BUT AN EXCEPTIONAL SHOUTOUT GOES TO LUIS!!! Luis was my absolute favourite. He always had a smile on his face and is one of the most lively spirits I have met - not to mention he is an incredible dancer! The bar tenders are also awesome and brought so much joy to our trip - Omar and Guss we won’t forget you! Thank you to all the workers at Sunscape Puerto Vallarta for making our trip amazing! These individuals really put in all their hard work and effort to ensure we had a special and memorable time. We won’t forget you!!!

This was my first time back at Sunscape since the pandemic. Reading all the reviews I was nervous, not going to lie! We arrived and the check in line was only about 8 people long, we were greeted with a drink (hibiscus juice) and the staff was super pleasant. We upgraded our room without issue. The check in helped with breaking our large bills into tipping denominations whenever needed. Ilsa was a sweetheart! Mariam was gracious and helpful! Elmer in concierge was so wonderful and helpful! Alberto at the lobby bar along with Richy, were fun to order from. Our pool server Alex was super friendly and attentive! My friend loved the noon aqua-aerobics with Alejandro (Armando??). Our room staff did a great job keeping us in water, clean towels and even chocolates each night on our pillows. The shows were cool, and the food was great…Yes, the pool bottom needs some upgrading and there are some storm repair needing to be done on the smaller wing but overall it was as pleasant a time as my visits there pre-pandemic!

I was blown away by the effort and service the staff poured into their New Year’s Eve celebrations. It was outstanding! Thank you to the entire staff for working so hard to provide a stunning, colourful and generous event. Yes, there are things that can be improved (like many establishments), but I am more than happy to celebrate them with 5 stars!

Sunscape is an amazing resort. Beautiful views, we opted for the deluxe oceanfront suites. Oscar Ake is the best and really helped us with familiarity of the resort and making sure all was up to par. Thank you! We will be back. 10/10

This place was great. The staff was amazing especially Roberto the Consierge. We saw whales 3 separate times 70 yards away from us on the beach. Including them breaching. It was amazing! Someone had fine on a whale excursion and said what we witnessed was better. The food was great there is enough of a variety that you can find something you like. The sunclub is definitely worth it. We always had a great spot on the beach. The resort was pretty busy but we had great timing and never got stuck in lines. The room was as pictured. Very comfortable. We stayed 7 nights I would recommend coming Monday through Friday as we noticed it was alot busier on Fri, Sat and Sun.

I was here for a short stay. Unfortunately, I had a medical emergency and I had to utilize the resort's highly competent doctor. This is important. Outside of that, I had a splendid stay. The food and drinks were amazing. Bring the kids...

Armando was most pleasant greeting us each day and informing us of all daily and nightly activities. He is very charismatic and happy to help the patrons. The pool servers Cruz and Francia always checked to make sure our drinks were full. Hugo did a fantastic job entertaining guests and explaining their program about releasing the sea turtles. Witnessing that was a highlight.

Amazing beautiful place. Nice and hot here 😜. A lot of weddings, music, good food, close to a Mall. Beautiful getaway. Would love to come back. For my first experience out of the Country, don't regret anything. Thank you

They stay here so far is spectacular not one single complaint I would recommend to anyone that would like to come to Puerto Vallarta and tour the city from this location.😎

Amazing getaway from the cold winter in England to Puerto Vallarta at Sunscape.
Everything is all inclusive and the staff are amazing and attentive.
I'd definitely recommend it for all ages.
The food is really good and they had a different theme food night every night.
We don't really drink but all the other people seemed to be really happy with the drinks and cocktails.
Definitely worth a 5 star review.

Room cleaning employees come into the rooms to "clean" when no one is there and end up taking what they see is valuable. My aunt and I got a necklace and a Burberry perfume stolen. Please be careful with personal items in the bedroom. Other than that everything is great.

Went for 4 days with the budget/cost bring priority. Food options were good but pretty simular taste/style throughout all restaurants. All the restaurants do ask you to wear clothes aka not swim or beach/pool a tire, but it’s probably good just to have some consistency. I mean, do you want to be eating dinner while staring at someone’s flakey sun burn or grandmas cheeks, maybe no(?)- 24 hour cafe was great for the late night snacks, many small sandwiches and little sweet treats. bring your own container so you are not limited to the 8oz cup they serve. You can just bring the cup, or any container and they will put your drink in it. Alex/Alejandro served us the majority of the time while we were at the beach, absolutely great services from this man, he deserves a raise. Beach set up was nicer than many others I saw while walking on the beach. Loungers we’re nice, two rows of them, outdoor rinse area was close and accessible, beach bar was also close, and really nice beach venders in this area!! Emanuel and Eddy were two of my favorites! Find Eddy on the beach he will help you with tours, I road a horse on the beach! Hotel had a entire days agenda with activities that were being put on by the hotel, I did Zumba! Mostly a family place with some other types of groups sprinkled in. My group was 12 23-28 year olds.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in March and it was amazing. We booked on Expedia last minute for a spring break trip and it exceeded our expectations (this was our first time at an all inclusive resort). We had a "penthouse" room with our own balcony and sun chairs. Customer service was INCREDIBLE. We never felt pressured to tip (but did tip of course). From room service to drinks and our servers at meals, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Our bed was always made, fresh towels, minifridge restocked, and chocolates at night:) We had the Sunclub package which includes private beach chairs (so you don't have to get up at 6am to put a towel on one) which was so nice just being able to walk up and have chairs waiting for you, also had a lobby with better wifi and a better bar. The bartenders there were our favorite!!

I will say the food (excluding the Italian restaurant) was all pretty bland. It was buffet style but there was a pasta station, omelette station, etc. that made it a lot better.

We pretty much took the bus to explore Puerto Vallarta. Super easy once you get the hang of it (and cheap!! 10 pesos) There's a bus stop about a 3 minute walk from the resort. We never felt unsafe. We speak very minimal Spanish and were easily able to find our way around, even without cell service.

Overall, besides the food, our stay was great!

After reading all the reviews on here I was a little sketched out to stay at this resort. I am a very picky person but I was pleasantly surprised especially for the cost! The whole resort inside and out was kept very clean. It’s an outdated building but our room and the common areas were very clean. Great view of ocean and pool from our room. Food isn’t that amazing but definitely was not awful. Seemed like basic resort food. The Italian restaurant had the best food. If you want a fantastic special dinner then go out of resort. Also drinks are not watered down if you explain how you want your drink made and not just get the drink of the day. I had very good drinks! Also the entertainment at the pool and night was awesome! The whole entertainment crew was the best. Our favorites were Mar and Mini Cooper!! Only recommendation would be that the swim up bar only be for adults and that they do a little more cleaning of sides of pool. But overall really enjoyed my stay!

I was nervous about staying at this resort because of the 3.5 star rating and all the bad food reviews. but to my surprise those reviews were wrong wait times were reasonable food was not bad for buffet type food staff was friendly rooms were nice and large I’m definitely coming back again prices and rates were not bad also the biggest plus for me was there were no salesman’s haggling me for excursions or buy other stuff.

One of my family's beach residence in Puerto Vallarta... Great condos with amazing views, top notch service, spa services, concierge, restaurants, bars, shops, pool area and all of this on the ocean front of PV!!!

Walking distance to the beautiful La Isla Shopping Village, restaurants, cafés and more... Great experience with my aunt and cousins, of invited again... I will definitely say "Yes"!!!
