Hotel Villas Arqueologicas Chichen Itza

Our one-night stay at Villas Arqueologicas provided us the perfect opportunity to be at the entrance to Chichen Itza when it opened 8 AM the next morning, well before the arrival of most of the tour buses that come from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. The hotel has a lovely pool and restaurant and both meals that we had there were top-notch. The entrance to Chichen Itza is just a short taxi ride away. The hostess at the front desk was happy to call us a taxi as needed, and taxis are ready and waiting in the Chichen Itza parking lot for the ride back. We recommend this hotel, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Previous reviews are accurate. We had a wonderful time here. Staff were lovely. I leave you to read the other amazing reviews instead of repeating it. I want to add something that literally could have made or ruined my trip. They have laundry service here. We were on motorbikes and I thought I had emptied my pockets. I forgot my keys and something in another pocket. My fault. The staff found what was inside and returned everything! Could have ruined a vacation but they were 100% honest. Thank you so very much! This was the perfect place to stay during our visit to the area. While we didn't get to enjoy the pool, we did enjoy food and drinks and a quick game of pool. Our room was really nice, the beds were comfortable and room was beautiful. Excellent location and we were helped with getting a tour guide for our visit of Chichen Itza. We only stayed for one night of our road trip through the area but will definitely return to this hotel on our next trip!

This hotel is gorgeous, the infrastructure is very unique to the Chichen Itza area. The location is fabulous, very close to the ruins, cenotes, and a couple of towns. The staff was friendly and helpful. They know of many great places you can go visit and can help you organize your trip. Special thanks to Manuel! He is very friendly and attentive. Manuel truly made our stay very special.

Closest "nice" hotel near the archeological ruins. It has a nice restaurant that is a little pricey but lots of menu choices. It has a very child friendly pool that is beautiful. Watch out the tile is slippery! Lots of greenery and the rooms are rustic style but spotless and modern with plenty of plugs for your devices and laptop etc. Bathroom is nice and modern. If you can afford it, get the suite. Before we booked here, we booked an absolutely terrible Airbnb in Piste, it was filled with bugs. It is remarkably slim pickings here even though we literally saw thousands of people at the ruins today (not an exaggeration, it was packed out). Having a clean, comfortable hotel is a godsend after that.

Gorgeous little hotel almost in the middle of nowhere. 5 minutes from Chichen Itza it has lovely food, fast internet and it visually stunning. Cute little rooms all surrounding the pool

Amazing price for what you get, good location.
I loved the authentic design, but the rooms could be too narrow for bigger people.
Kind of a walking distance to the ruins - 40+ kind. Taxi is cheap. Loved the food at the restaurant, a wide selection of dishes.

Beautiful place to relax, well-maintained and with very cosy and spacious rooms. Staff is extraordinarily friendly! There is a bar, a restaurant and a refreshing pool. Good wifi, too!

A comfortable hotel in an awsome location in the middle of nature, cloce to the archaeological site and also to the center of the cute little town Piste. We had booked one night and because it was so nice we extended one more night and they were friendly and flexible about it.

The hotel next door is modern and ritzy. This hotel is more relaxed and down to earth. I liked staying here a lot, and I'm glad I chose this one instead of the ritzy one next door. This hotel has nice rooms, good food served almost all day, a nice courtyard with a pool, and foosball and a pool table for use by guests.

Beautiful grounds and location. Rooms are small but showers have hot water. Employees were very friendly. Recommended.

This place is quite quaint 😂 well priced and located only a few miles from the chichen itza ruins. It comes with breakfast included. The hotel itself is very traditional in style & service.

This place was perfect for the day trip to Chichen Itza. Incredible guest service. You can swim, eat breakfast or dinner right outside your room! The rooms were very traditional and cozy! Would definitely stay again.

It's nice and cozy! Overall relaxing, staff was kind-hearted and helpful! But.. No wifi, TV or key card.. So if you loose your key.. Expect a cost to replace it... Beds are nice, firm but clean and room was also clean and... The ac... Kept the room nice and cool! Overall, for the price and location... No complaints! Oh... Definitely eat at the neighboring restaurant/stands... SOOOO good, neighborhood seemed pretty safe! Cops everywhere, pretty friendly!

Very nice place. Quaint and affordable. Bathrooms are nice and clean and so is the rest of the Hotel. In house restuarant, bar, and pool. I would definately stay here again. Note the rooms seem small but have enough space with a unique floor plan and decor. Face it though you don't come to this hotel to stay very long in the room.

We absolutely enjoyed staying here! The service was impeccable. The staff is so nice and welcoming and the food was delicious. The grounds are beautiful! We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful staff and wonderful lodging. The front desk answered all of our questions and we walked to the near by cenote after visiting Chichinitza. The walk to the cenote was only half an hour and we purchased tickets at the front desk. The dining options are very good as well, as they have a fixed price meal plan.

Modest and cosy little hotel located a few hundred meters away from Chichén Itzá's south entrance. The service is great, the room fare is affordable, and the food in the restaurant is pretty decent. Keep in mind that the rooms are small, the internet service fails from time to time (no WiFi in the rooms). But who cares! Being so close to these amazing Mayan ruins is priceless! Make sure you buy the Amaneceres ticket to enter the archeological site at 6 am (exit at 8 am). This ticket is sold only in the north (main) entrance.
