Rawa Island Resort

Beautiful place, friendly staff, clean beaches and sea. Special shoutout to Azri who guided us through snorkelling and accompanied my 5yo kid (play sand and slides) during our 5d4n vacation.

Went there a few times and it was a fun experience. Rooms are okay and spacious. Food was delicious. Snorkelling, kayaking, hiking, playing ping pong and pool, massage. Tried all of it and I can’t get enough! Would come here again just to relax 👍🏻

Fully recommended. Worth every penny. The island itself is a beauty, surrounded by white beach, corals & fishes. You can spent the day just snorkelling. And then added with a very well maintained resort, a very nice & helpful staff, a good food, a nice panoramic views and a lot of activities for family.

Very best experience trip I had with my friends. Many good delicious foods and beverages. The only things need to be improved is the room floor tiles is very sticky and bath smell somewhat like mold upon entering the resort. Could be improvised more.

30 min speedboat ride from Mersing to this resort. Only 2 here which makes it relatively quiet compared to others.

Beach was spectacular fine sand beach with reefs very nearby. Shame that the corals were not too healthy, but still there were some fishes by the jetty hanging around. Can only imagine back when the corals were healthy.

A real plus with the cool slides. Real fun that will keep the kids going for a bit.

Buffet food was sufficient & tasty. Plentiful and variety spanned across cuisines western & eastern.

Rooms were very big for the pax, so plenty of space to chuck your gear. Aircons we’re working fine. Only thing to note is depending on where your rooms are, you may hear the generators running…

Overall a great experience for your kids if they haven’t seen crystal clear sea water & fine sand beach with some marine life!

The food was really great!I it was fantastic sea to see many fish.
I appreciated the staff he was concerned about my needs asking the medication motionsick. Actually my family experienced the worst ferry when we were into the island it was too choppy, but I didn't have any medication.

The resort has a great balance of comfortable amenities while being aware of being inside a thriving ecosystem of forest and a reef that shows some distress but overall is still doing very well. Great for snorkelling and really excels for shore diving. I would not want to see any more human activity on the island or I think the non-human ecosystems would get more distressed. Accommodations, spa, restaurant are simple and yet they work really well. Fine brown sugar beach and clear waters. Transportation to and from is governed heavily by tides which may keep human traffic down to levels that are good for the local ecosystems. There is a very interesting walking circuit around the island which is about 3.5 km with elevation changes, I walked it twice a day and climbed the peak for an excellent workout between lying on the beach, hitting the buffet, and snorkelling. Lately I find places like this with a balance of function without being over commercialized hard to find... For example there are no room safes and yet I had no concerns about theft.

Nice place for a family to have a quiet and relaxing beach holiday. The downside of the resort will be the meals prepared for the day.

Super laid back, relaxing and beautiful island to enjoy for a couple of days. Food was excellent, service was perfect and the rooms and resort are well maintained, clean and open. Loved every moment, and good wifi tells us we’ll be back for more to “work from home”

The location is great. The service upon arrival at the jetty was efficient and organised. The staff on the island are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The sea and the beach are clean. The coral reef is amazing and quite a lot of fish. The slides were also a big attraction for the kids.

Overall a great place to spend the weekend. Very relaxing and chilled out with enough activities to keep everyone busy.

I heartily recommend it for a vacation with loved ones. It offers a pretty lovely beach where you can unwind and take in the scenery. If a guardian or lifeguard is present for safety, you can dive or snorkel. Absolutely stunning location to visit.

The island: A beautiful private island! Very clear water great for snorkeling & kayaking.
The resort: 5 stars resort rate but the facilities and service were at most 3.5 stars. For the same rate, you get much better value from any YTL island resorts.

Crystal clear waters for snorkelling and skies for star-gazing, Rawa is a hidden gem that's a fab destination for the ultimate chill kind of break. Went with my family of 6, and booked the waterfront bungalow. I snorkelled for hours, marveling at the corals that were a stones throw from the shore line and the schools of fishes teeming near the corals. I saw some of the most beautiful night skies (saw at least 4 star formations, rivaled only by the desert skies I saw in Nevada).

Food was good, and one can always look forward to a good spread for all meals. Service was impeccable, which made up for the flaws of an aging facility. My bungalow had drainage issues and the staff not just spent hours rectifying the issue, but also provided compensation in the form of water sport rental and massages. So glad I discovered this place!

Breathtaking view! I had wonderful experience here. The staff were friendly and helpful. A lot of activities to be done here for adults and kids also. I highly recommended this place for you to enjoy and relaxed your mind. I would come again in future.

A very beautiful island. Good place to run from a busy life and environment. Can capture a very beautiful scenery that cannot be experienced in any busy city. It's a place that very suitable to spend as newlyweds as it is private island.

Fantastic place for relaxation and beach in Malaysia so far since the ocean and the beach is clean with minimal pollution. However, I would recommend to stay not more than 3 days since there’s not much to do there besides playing at the beach, snorkelling and diving. The rooms are nice and well maintained.Enjoy.

Beautiful island with crystal clear beach. Do go on around may to June :) Also room do not have wifi or tv, do enjoy the nature around the island. Wifi only provided on the resort buffet area.

The island is unspoiled for its little development. Thus, it has all that a pristine island should have, whether it be clear water, clean environment or swaying palm trees.
There are hammocks around that visitors can relax and enjoy the beautiful sight of the island

Awesome resort... Great food... Great dive shop by Orca Nation. Lots to do and many places to relax. Gorgeous white sand and clear waters for snorkeling and diving.
