Kenyir Eco Resort

Absolutely fantastic place. Ijam who is the owner is a very good person and made sure we are comfortable. It's a well maintained family owned resort and we enjoyed the peace and calmness for 2 days.

Wonderful experience of nature. Very peaceful, true meaning of getting away from the city and just having a quiet time. The owners Nizam is friendly and hospitable, and his wife Aina is a great cook and every meal is prepared with much care and is appetising. Saiful the boatman is good with kids and coaxed us to try swimming with the fish, swimming in the lake and waterfalls. He taught the teenagers to fish and fried the catch for us to experience fresh fish. The place is very basic and except for showers, the toilets are communal but this is what getting back to nature is all about and time should be spent outside the rooms just enjoying the view. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The
hospitality shown by the owners and quietness of the place is something I feel is unique and an experience I will always treasure. Do visit the Kelah sanctuary and waterfalls. Will definitely return to this place.

You best choice for rooms, but it's tricky to get here if you have a fear of water. The entire resort is floating and connected by a floating walkway.

Three rooms are simple and dorm style, but with air-conditioning. Funnily, there's a bathroom attached to the rooms, and the toilets are located outside. Foods is cooked by the resort owners wife and is a decent Malay style food, usually a buffet. They offer boat tours and jet ski (which I don't recommend cause of noise and eco pollution).

Prices are very reasonable per person, and I visited here for some birdwatching with the MNS bird group in July 2023. Nice experience overall.

Really nice and quiet place. The owners are really friendly. The food was amazing !! The lake is great for swimming and you can do boat trips with hiking and swimming. We loved watching the monkeys and hornbills from the resort in the jungle. Really recommend this special place. You need to like cats, there are a lot of them there. We loved it!

Good stay and vacation for backpackers who love the nature and greenery. Recommended.

Stayed there from 28 to 30 Aug 22. Very friendly and accommodating proprietor Ijam and his crew Baung and the rest. They also prepared great food - simple but very tasty. The experience was relaxing and calming, and even though the room was a bit on the small side it was still comfortable. The wall was not that soundproof though.
The highlight was the Kelah sanctuary - being surrounded by RM500/kg fishes. Wow!
The boat ride around the lake was also enjoyable. And the take safety very seriously - vest up or no ride. The only issue was the murky water at Lasir waterfall. Hopefully this is not permanent.
Overall it was a perfect trip to relieve the stress of KL city life.

Located at far end of the lake accessable by short boat ride is this eco resort built on pontoons. The rooms are clean with basic amenities. Bathroom is attached but toilet is sharing, the room has air-conditioning unit as well.
Food is included in the package and there's a common area with TV and seating arrangement. Food is served there during lunch or dinner or upon order, this serves as a store as well.
They have life jackets for people to swim in the lake, activities include banana boat, jet ski, boating, tours etc. It's a nice place for weekend gateway to rejuvenate your mind and body.

What a great place to stay. We travel with a big family and stay here for 3 days. Really amazing memory. The staff is great. Meals also very great.

Pros . Cheap . Air condition comfy beds. Peaceful atmosphere . Staff accommodating to food and other requests .

Cons . No hot shower and out door common toilet.

They Have speedboat, jet skis, banana boat, donut, and many more. Very cozy stay and beautiful view.
