I recently tried the sotong celup tepung at this restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with live band performing and just beside the beach, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. You can pay using debit card here.

The sotong celup tepung was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. There are other celup tepung also like shrimp, fish and the squid was cooked just enough to also there keropok lekor maintain its natural taste and texture. It was served with a sauce, which added an extra tangy and refreshing touch to the dish.

The portion size was generous and perfect for sharing. The only downside was that it was a bit oily, but that's to be expected with fried foods. Nonetheless, it was still delicious and satisfying.

The service was excellent, and our server was very helpful in recommending other dishes to try. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was relaxed and comfortable, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner.

Overall, I would highly recommend the sotong celup tepung at this restaurant. It was delicious, well-prepared, and had a great balance of flavor and texture. I would give it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars

SG family on Road Trip to Terengganu during RMCO 23 to 26 June 2020. Great place to chill and relax. Ngeteh Tea Tarik with keropok lekor. Pantai Penarik is also a good place for family vacation. Scenic beach view and ample parking space close to the beaches. About one hour drive from Kuala Terengganu. This is our 2nd trip here during our vacation in Terengganu. Highly recommended for city dwellers from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur...

I find the seaside goreng celup dishes ubiquitous on the beachside of the East Coast are so overrated. The batter is never seasoned, then prawns, squids, crabs and various fish are dipped and deep fried. The saving grace is usually the sweet chilli sauce, the thicker and darker, the better. This place is no different. They also serve juicy and cold mango shakes, heavily sweetened coconut juice and chicken rice. Service was so so.

But.

We ate in the shades of tall coconut trees. Cool sea breeze. Sound of the waves lulled us. Hammocks wrapped around the tree trunks calling us to lie down for a rest.

Have celup tepung by the seaside not for the prospect of delicious seafood, but for what Terengganu's nature has to offer

I went to test their chicken chop after they recently debuted their western menu. If you're not a large eater, the portion should be shared by two people because it has a fantastic flavour. For those who are already tired of "celup tepung," it is highly recommended and worth the wait and money.

A very clean place with nice beach side vibes. Friendly staff. Food was good at reasonable price. Do come visit here as Penarik have quite a limited choice of food at night.
