Payung Getaway Campsite & RV Park

Our kids love it, we even extended our stay! The place is safe for family, facilities are clean, beach is just walks away...they even provided power station for you to charge your device... broom/ scooper/ mop are readily available for u to clean your tent in case u dont have it. n thoughtful move to provide plastic right before the female toilet. so many activities by the campsite- clamp or crab hunting, atv... restaurants are nearby. zero complaint, we definitely are coming back.. thanks Foo & Willy for having us!

It's a perfect place to relax and outing with sea view it's also a pet friendly. Toilet is super clean shower 🚿 the water pressure is strong. Thanks Foo and Willy for all the best arrangement.

Had the most wonderful time car camping with hubby here at Payung Getaway Campsite. Direct access to the beach from the very well kept camp ground with good facilities - clean toilet with shower, clear signage for parking & toilet. Yong was very friendly, he welcomed us with a short briefing and also shared some of the new management's plans to improve the place even more. Look forward to coming here again!

It’s suitable for camping or RV facing the seas. There are proper toulet & baths. The two guys running this place Yong & Willy are accommodating and tries to make your visit worthwhile. There are very friendly dogs and kittens too. What an amazing place.

My wife and I had the most wonderful time car camping for 2 nights at Payung. Location is awesome and you sleep to the rhythm of the crashing waves just 10 meters away!

This is a very suitable place for family camping . The place is windy and clean .
Can enjoy the early day break sun rise, and the golden sunset .
There is a long white beach on the left and a river on your right as you enter the camp site.
Last Saturday , many campers with family adults and children go into the river bed ( very low tide) to catch shell fish.
After that in the evening they turn to the sea for a swim .
I like the place . A place can sit down relax and painting ❤
If lazy to cook , there is food a stone throw away to fill your stomach whenever you need one .👍

By far for me the best campsite ever. Why ? Where can you find a campsite where you can have best of almost everything. Want a perfect white sandy, clean and quiet beach? You can have it. Want a idyllic riverside where you can swim, kayak or just chill ? You can have it. Further more it is pet friendly so that you can enjoy this beautiful place with your furry kids. My doggies loves the place as well. The campsite is clean, with well maintained toilets and showers. 4 G connection is also very good if you need it. The camp operator Stanley is very passionate about keeping the place in tip top condition and safe for the benefit and comfort of the campers and the environment. I have had very pleasant experience with Stanley sharing many moments over food and drinks. So far I have been to Payung 3 times already and I will definitely be back for more and more.

This is private campsite. First time camping here. The staff well explained about the rules to us. He also friendly. The price was ok. There are facilities such as bathrooms & toilet available inside this campsite. Area is super clean. Close to the beach and watch beautiful sunset. Really nice ambience & experience.

3d2n camping here. Very nice place. Just that not the ideal camping location for seeing turtle. Otherwise perfect!

One of the best campsites I've been to. Cleanliness is top notch! Ample toilets and showers located in the middle of the site. The campsite owner will limit the number of campers/tents so to not overcrowd and provide comfort to campers. When I went there, it was just my hubby and I so they allocated a nice spot at the end, away from other family campers. Generators and karaoke machines are strictly prohibited. If you don't feel like cooking, there are food stalls and a few restaurants just a few minutes away. There are convenience shops nearby as well. Do bring mosquito repellant though. Also, campers need to bring out their own rubbish, there is a large bin just outside the campsite gate.

I had a wonderful vacation here with my 2 daughters and 3 dogs.

I am very grateful to Stanley, the person in charge, for helping me to solve the problem of the canopy.

This is a peaceful and beautiful place to relax yourself.

It is recommended to stay for at least 4 or 5 days.

Am not one who enjoys paid campsite, But ever since my 1st visit, I fell in love with this place. A place where they value camper"s privacy. Not like some "pasar malam" campsite. Never overcrowded. I would also like to point out which is the man in-charge there, Mr. Stanley. Made my stay there a memorable one. He maybe strict cos he cares about the environment and campers peace of mind. Usually misunderstood. Truly enjoy our beer sessions and chat. Will definitely be back again. This is my favourite. Keng, if u are reading this, hope to see u there and have a drink or 2. Till we meet again bros!

Love this place soooo much that this is my 2nd time here in 3 months. To me, Payung is special as it is a safe place for my dog and there’s plenty to do …. or not to.

I went clam digging (bbq them is best), swimming and if you have time, rent a canoe/kayak to see the mangrove tunnel. There’s something awesomely magical about this place. It’s where time stood still and there’s you, silence except for occasional sounds of fish splashing and birds chirping.

The moon rise over the horizon was spectacular and the evening sunset after the rain is nothing short of stunning. Payung has a bit of everything to offer and more if you care to stay longer. Our dogs had the time of their lives here.

A special thanks to Stanley, the camp operator, who took such good care of us and made us feel very welcomed.

Great people! Dan and Olga took over this place from previous owners and did most of the work to upgrade the site. Donna, who travels all the way from Poland end up volunteering here is very helpful. They were friendly and welcoming. The toilets and bathrooms are superb! You can choose to camp in front of the river or the beach.

Definitely will come again if had the chance. The atmosphere is very calm and slow paced.

It is a very well maintained campsite which all the basic facilities are all provided. Stanley and Dan were very friendly in introducing the site to us and helping us to set our tent. We had such a wonderful time just wandering by the beach, making our own meal, and making new friends. Love it! ❤

Lovely beach campsite. Ideal secluded location.

This is my first camping beside seaside, good experiences.
Overall Payung Gateway is a nice place for camper, no matter you are regular folks or beginner.
Clean and well maintained, went on 27 Dec 2020 for 3 days 2 night.
Despite monsoon season, but I had have big sun to serve me for these 3 days.
Definately will revisit again.

Getting there was a breeze as the owner gave us heaps of directions on where to park and who to look for. Her friendly staff helped us with the short briefing on the ground rules and checking in. Campsite was super clean (owner made sure of that) and the water pressure was strong. The communal lepak place in the middle of the site, kitchen, toilet and shower is lit throughout the night. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore lulled us to sleep and we were greeted by the heavenly stars making a grand entrance at 4am. Definitely not available in the city. 3 kitties wandered around, seeking attention (amongst others) . Will camp here again,for sure!
