Villa Augustus

What an exquisitely tasty dishes. Risotto was great. The steak was amazing. And the fries with truffle mayo was an absolute winner for me. I will definitely come back to this place.

The setting around is nice, cosy and beautiful even if just to have a cup of tea or just a walk around.

I think this is a wonderful and one of a kind place, the concept is unique and I feel always very blessed to be there and enjoy the environment. No shishi but high quality eat & sleep facilities, the beautiful garden and the overall artistic and industrial ambiente makes it so enjoyable. I will take every chance to repeat my stay, the staff is amazing, thank you! I love this place.

A really great hotel, that's authentic, has great, unique rooms, friendly staff and a great restaurant. I came once while on a business trip and it has now become my go-to hotel for both business and pleasure when I need a place near Dordrecht, Rotterdam, or Breda.

We had a really nice afternoon tea! Only downside was we couldn't finish it! But we took home the leftovers!

We have really fallen in love with Villa Augustus! We spent the night in one of the floating rooms and had both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Everything is perfect down to the little details. The surroundings, the atmosphere, the delicious and organic food, the drinks (especially the red wine was the best we had in ages), the comfortable hotel room with huge comfortable bed and nice view of the water, the colourful and playful housestyle you will notice everywhere you go, the beautiful garden where you can have a stroll among flowers, fruits and vegetables, the friendly staff… I could go on and on and on. We will definitely come back here! Looking forward to it already.

The food is great! It is fun to walk through the garden, where you can see the food grow. You can really taste the good quality of the food! I love it!
The pizza is spectacular. The self made ice cream is delicious. The vegetarian risotto would be better with something to it, such as tomatoes ;)

The service is nice. The shop has really good products. The bikes to rent are in good quality.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to open the windows in the bathroom and in the normal room only a bit. This is a bid annoying. Maybe you could work on this.

It is unnecessary to change the towels every day. A more sustainable way would be nice.

All in all, I can recommend this place! It's so unique and everything made with love :)

One of the most cozy places to eat and stay in Dordrecht. Not only get you the delicious meal, but also a slendid view and possibility to walk in the garden. The personel of Villa Augustus grows vegetables just near the restaurant, so you might be 100 % sure that you get only fresh products to your table.

Awesome place! Amazing design, very clean and breakfast is excellent - the variety is not at the level of US hotels (which I’m ok with) but the quality of bread, butter, cheese, ham, coffee etc is just superb! Looking forward to visiting again.

It is one of my favorite restaurants. Is located in Dordrecht, next to the water. It is a beautiful hotel - restaurant. What we like about this place is that they have gardens full of fresh fruits and vegetables that they use to cook... So every time you get season garden vegetables and you can just taste the difference in your plate.. It is not cheap but definitely worth it.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner. Accommodates groups and is child friendly. Has nice terrace in summer.

Wonderful garden, terras, hotel view. Former water tower and water treatment plant complete reconstructed into a very nice ecological restaurant with own vegetable gardens. Room for meetings/events. The hotel is in the large tower, the restaurant on the other side of the gardens. A shop with bakery included as well. Good veggy and vegan options - quite something to chose. Not cheap, but really tasty and fresh vegetables. Worth a visit, even if it is just for a coffee on the terras and a walk in the gardens. Highly recommended.

To come to Villa Augustus is always a treat. This is a modern Dutch experience which goes beyond being fashionable. From the edible gardens, the pebble paths to the book shop this venue caters for all. Entering the Restaurant coming from the ferry is a wonderful experience as well as by bike from the inner city. The well varied menu is great for lunches, and on both occasions service was speedily no matter the occupancy rate.

A new favourite for me, home grown Vege is served here and the portion sizes are generous, not to mention the venue itself. And the city is alive with unique artisans.

Absolutely amazing place! Great shop, amazing food, cozy in an old industrial (pump house) building. Would definitely recommend a detour!

The hotel is amazing.
Well maintained garden, beautiful furniture in the restaurant and hall, as well as in the bedroom.
We stayed at the floating room and it has a stunning view. The breakfast and the dinner was delicious and followed all the covid-19 protocols.
Thanks to all the staff that made our stay more special.
We are going back for sure!

A minor suggestion for the restaurant is that they could also have the option of cappuccino with almond milk :-)

Great hotel in an interesting place, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Easy and cheap to reserve bikes. We also ate in the restaurant which is an interesting space and had nice service but which was somewhat disorganized. E.g., the cheese platter was just four pieces of cheese piled on a plate without any bread etc. while nobody could tell us the names of the cheeses. (Apparently they are actually on the menu.) The food was OK but could use some TLC. Their breakfast buffet, however, is great and highly recommended.

This was such a dreamy lil wonderland of charm. Everything. About it. So damn charming. The restaurant? Absolutely delicious. The decor? Think actual villa but sorta dutch shabby chic? Lots of creative chandeliers, for example. Um the gardens are amazing. Yes, the maze-like hedges are impressive, but the cold frames that shielded the baby cabbages? Horticultural marvels. Greenskeeping? On their A-game. The espresso cups? Charming. The lil Godard-esque hare logo? Love eeeeet. Honestly, I went to Dordrecht just to stay at the Villa Augustus. FABULOUS!! Check out their reusable napkins and freshly baked sourdough bread. I'll stop. But, just so lovely...

Been here quite often. Food is always great. Beautiful building and terrace in the garden that's fantastic in summer. The place can be a bit busy, resulting in waiters not spotting you very fast, but they're always friendly and attentive.

Very nice place with food is prepared with products grown in own garden and fruit trees and they bake their own cakes and cookies. You can seat inside the shop for coffee and eat at the restaurant or outside by the garden. Look around the gardens. The fountain by the river and the French garden are wonderful to look at. You can also overnight in the old water tower.
