Waterfront Vlietland

This is a hidden gem! Food was delicious, service was super kind and quick, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is fabulous 👌 👏 ❤I will definitely coming back here!

The Waterfront Vlietland is a South African owned restaurant located 5km from Leiden city center. Situated on the edge of the Vlietland lake it gives a feeling of tranquility with a relaxed vibe where one can come to enjoy breakfast, lunch and/ or dinner. The well positioned restaurant is one of my favorite spots where I come for breakfast regularly. The food is good and reasonably well priced. I enjoy the English breakfast and my wife’s favorite breakfast is the Eggs Benedict. On this occasion we had fresh mint tea. The service is at times a bit slow, but overall the staff is professional, friendly and helpful. For a good breakfast I definitely recommend the Waterfront Vlietland.

Upscale family restaurant, great (dog-friendly) terrace, accessible by water.

Beautiful waterfront terrace, and for the first time, we were able to appreciate Dutch “cuisine”. That too without breaking the wallet. Perfect stop on our bike ride south along the Vliet.

Great place to enjoy a drink and some food in the sun, whilst watching the ducklings and huge carps in the water.

Have been coming here for years. For events and now that we live in Voorschoten, more often. Recently been with my dog as well. They are very gracious and accommodating. Great hosts with a good selection of food and drinks (and milk variations).
There is a play space for small children and an exquisite view of the trees and water

Great restaurant! Just came back and can highly recommend. The location is perfect and the food is very delicious too. The price is not too expensive for the location in my opinion.

A great place to visit. Can handle chargeable weather. Friendly and helpful staff. We experienced a heavy shower today, with only a reluctance to walk to where the car was parked. Ample parking.

As always: lovely! This place understands how to adapt to the times. Their food is great (try the Pork Belly and fish cakes!), staff is very friendly and always look out for you. I return here many times and would always recommend.

Really nice restaurant, you can sit inside or outside. If you sit on the outside terrace, there's heating too in the evening. Has a great view over the waters of Vlietlanden, and quality food. The service is really well, and everyone is friendly

Amazing place! So relaxing! The food was incrediblly delicous! Also very nice personal! Immediatelly became my favorite place and I plan to visit it often in the future.
