Camping Bakkum

Stayed near almost new facilities: enough showers and toilets, easy to wash your dishes.
BBQ fires prohibited, bring your own gas cooker. There were two grills, but not clean at all.
It was great having been here for a couple of weeks back in September, and now a few days in October.
Sunny days are great, but bring a crowd. Now that it is colder, you have the whole park almost to yourself.
A restaurant with pizzas and pataatjes available. There's a supermarket on site. Also ice cream and fish shop.
There's no atelier for kids. I don't mind as I'm here just with my wife.

Close enough to Castricum beach.

We have stayed here twice and can’t wait to go again. The site is big with everything you need. There is a lot for children to do, a really big playground and then small ones here and there, a spring cushion and bikes / go karts for hire. You can get very good pizza at the central area restaurant and the site seems to attract a nice mixed crowd of people. Many of the camping areas are very nice, especially the forest area. The beaches nearby are a bonus. For such a big campsite it’s amazing how well run everything is! Great work.

We went to visit my son's friend. Really like the nature and the beach is at walking distance. Overall a place for family with kids to enjoy! Dogs are not allowed!

A nicely located camping site - just a little walk away from the sea. The dune landscape on the way was unexpected for us and is very impressive. The camp site is as large as a little village. You find everything you may need: A store, restaurants, places for exercise, ... we booked a pitch for our tent which was just beautiful. The price is above average for camping, but it is worth it. All in all, a very nice place!

Two things you should be aware of: 1) Wifi quality is quite bad at the tent size, I cannot recommend to add this to the booking. Free WiFi is available at the public points anyway. 2) be very careful with any food you leave on the tables or it will be taken by the seagulls. We could witness how they took our neighbours cheese and they took our olives as well (which were completely in plastic). They are well trained here... at least I could get back the olives eventually :)

Great location as it is close to the seaside. Good facility with supermarket and restaurant in the middle. They add every year something and even do markets from time to time

Heaven on earth. Bakkum is a gem at the Dutch coast. The campsite is just 20 minutes from the beach and reached through a wonderful landscape of dunes and green plants.

Great camping, full of Amsterdam people. 15 min walk from the beach. Many activities, many options for stay (tent, caravan, ...). Enjoy.

Excellent access to cycle routes. Facilities excellent and well maintained. Shop and restaurants on site.

Really beautiful area to cycle around plenty of paths though the forest to stroll very pleasant.

Where Amsterdam hangs out in the summer - great location, beach is a short distance away and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with a children dominated feel
