चखेवा CHAKHEWA

Mundum Trail : Absolutely gorgeous view and place even when I went during off season. An easy to medium difficulty level trekking trail that is connected to the culture and civilisation of Rai people, something unique to other western trekking routes. Pat to the Province 1’s government for this great effort.

Stunningly beautiful pasture land over the rolling hills and saddle between Tyamke and Maiyum. A historic nature trail (Mundum trail) runs along the border between Khotang and Bhojpur which is famous among hikers and trekkers. Tea houses atop provide hot beverages and delicious soup noodles (thukpa). There are also some lodges and a homestay for those looking to spend there overnight.

It was freaking cold.

We were planning for temke but due to sudden change in weather we planned to stay here at Chakhewa.

The weather was so cold. It was raining and windy too.

Do visit once if you are planning for temke.

Need to do a lot for tourism development.

I was there in 2012/2013, now It's 2023 still can not forget the memories of this place even if I do not have single photos in this place!!! Tremendous Memories!!

Chakhewa is a place to visit once in life.
