Warning that there are 3 sets of steps and they are all very long. This is not disabled friendly or for those with weak hearts or dodgy knees.

Amazing views in all directions. A great place to hike to from Kathmandu and very easy to catch a bus back from. 🚌

There are many places to stop on the way for a bite to eat and the locals are very helpful and kind. 🍜

You can’t wear shoes or take photos in the temple and must walk through the foot bath to get inside 🦶💦

Situated at Tarkeshwor, this temple is about 10 km from Balaju. Short hike from nearby bus station will take you to the temple. Very artistic and influenced from Indian design, the temple stands tall and beautiful. The captivative view of hills and valley is definitely an addition to the majestic temple. Once inside, the peaceful aura grips you immediately. Goddess Bhubaneshwori seats right middle of the hall and there is plently of space for devotees to sit, meditate and relax. A small space is dedicated for bhajans as well which occurs during festivals and special occasion. This place is a must visit for travellers and devotees alike.

Shri Shri Mata Bhubaneswari Temple. Such a wonderful vibe place in Katmandu

This temple is in early stage cause still construction work was not finished and also I saw few weeks point in it. Well for peaceful environment and to get relief from the crowds and pollution you must visit this temple. I like it and enjoyed a lot of greenery and scenario. There is aashram also for visitor if they want to stay for more days and came far from others places. Well God may bless you all.

Mordern temple, with classic exterior. The statue of goddess is mordern and is in sharp contrast with the temple's architucture. Seemed like a good place to meditate in a quite peaceful chamber of the temple.
The base steps begin from Teenpiple station of Trishuli highway. We had hiked from here till Tarkeshwor Mahadev. Too us 1.5 hrs at a slow pace.

Yes temple periphery is still under construction… still no better road condition…but no sooner you enter the main temple you’ll receive soulful peace and energy

As a traveler who recently visited the Bhubaneshwor Temple located at Tarkeshwor, I can confidently say that this temple is a hidden gem that should not be missed.

Nice place to visit,can take 2 routes,one from tarkeshwor(only bike preferred or 4 wd vehicle) and another through Balaju crossing tapoban(can take all type of vehicle). Stoned paved road are there so make sure you have conditioned vehicle. The temple view is amazing and i was impressed through the entry of temple. There is a artificial pond to wash leg where the temple opening is located. Its a no noice zone and very peaceful inside. You cant talk inside the temple. Surrounding view is damn good and you will love the environment.

The temple is located just beside the Trishuli highway. A best way to reach the temple is by climbing few stairs which can be a short hike😉. The temple is beautiful. It was peaceful and yes when I visited constructions were hoing on in the backyards.

Very best and beautiful place. I want to suggest every hikers and travellers to visit once in life and those friends who lived nearby kathmandu,please make your weakend beautiful with short hike here.

Best destination for short hike, refreshment and meditation, but be prepared to climb the steep stairs for around 20 minutes.

Very beautiful temple on the hill with unique design of nepali architecture. Refreshing.

Top views

A must visit place if you're in Kathmandu. Even though the roads aren't good, the view from the landmark is worth it. And the architecture of the mandir is unique with a lil space for statue of the Godess and more area for the Bhaktajans to meditate, unlike rest of the mandirs in Nepal.
