Bishnu Dwaar

This is a short hike from Shivapuri National Park gate. You can start directly from the entrance ask the army personnel to show you the way to Bishnu Dwar which starts from the entrance. This way is far more relaxing and wonderful to hike as you walk through deep jungle from the start itself. After 2 hours you will reach your destination. Enjoy 😃

"Bishnu Dwaar" is a part of "Shivapuri Trekking." Many waterfalls and streams adds more excitement. Route is clear with directions at place to place and you can find many people in the trek. Great place of Shivpuri wild life reserves national park.Bishnudwar is the spot from where the Bishnumati waterway began. In bishnudwar we see a small cave where many statue of god bishnu.In this temple near flow the bishnumati River flow.
I think Bishnudwar is perfect place for treacking and picnic sport it coverd with full of different types of trees 🌳. My personal opinion it best place to visit near the valley.

I guess it’s an easiest hike in shivapuri.
You need to walk around 2 hrs to reach this place but it’s pretty crowded on saturday.
The route is easy and basically involves no stairs (easy part).
If you wish to witness waterfall you have to take a little tough route after you reach the wooden bridge.

Inside the Kathmandu valley, the Shivapuri National Park is con­sidered one of the most conve­nient and accessible destinations for nature exploration. Located at the Shivapuri hill, Bishnudwar is a hidden gem awaiting exploration. It is the place of the origin of the Bish­numati River, one of Kathmandu’s major conduits. Bishnumati (“Beloved of Lord Bishnu”) has great religious and cul­tural significance for Hindus and Buddhists alike. By the same token, so has Bishnudwar (“The door from where Bishnumati begins”).

Located at the height of 1,950 meters, the hike to Bishnudwar starts from Budhanilkantha, Kath­mandu. You can find a public vehicle or take your own private vehicle up to the Budhanilkantha temple area. A half hour walk will take you to the entrance of the Shivapuri National Park, where you pay Rs 100 entrance fee. After entering the national park, you walk towards the Shivapuri Hill, enjoying the fresh forest air. There are different routes with signboards to guide you inside the national park. Follow the signs to hike towards your destination.

Depending on your speed, a two-or-three hour hike will take you to the view point from where you can get a picturesque view of Kathman­du. Another one and half hours will get you to Bishnudwar. There are many hollow humid caves in the area and the river arises here, taking the form of a beautiful waterfall. Every­thing about this place is fresh and natural. From Bishnudwar, you have the option of either walking downhill or continuing your hike towards the Shivapuri peak.

Really good destination for a shorthike. Suggest yall to go early and explore more places than just one destination.

Perfect place for a short hiking (nearly an hour) inside Shivapuri National Park from Danda Gaun (half an hour trip on vehicle from Budhanilkanth Temple). You can reach Bishnumati river and waterfalls on the way to Bishnu Dwaar.

Completely best place to hike nearby kathmandu valley ... Take a local bus to narayanthan. After bus it takes half hour to reach shivapuri national park gate , should register and get tickets for Nepali peoples 100 rps, forget about outsider sorry 🙏 .cycling,zeep safari are available with some of cost. Packaging food should be registered .
Now you can enjoy your hike as your choice becouse there's 3 way to go 1-nagigumba, 2- bagdwaar, 3-bishnudwaar I choose bishnudwaar two's are left to explore.. I'll make you sure it'll become a amazing quality time for you. 😍

If you are looking for nearby hiking place, this is a place to go. The vibe here is amazing. Definitely recommend any one to go here and escape the city chaos. Also you can take ur bike and cna reach within an hour walk.
