The location of the hotel is amazing, views are magical. The building I mean the shigar House is the best if you want the Royal feel, food is fine but the people are really nice,

Fort is being maintained quite well by Serena. Entry fee is quite nominal which can be reimbursed by having lunch at the restaurant inside the Fort.
Didn't stay at the hotel which located inside the fort.
Good place to visit if you have some interest in history or the architecture.

We did not stayed there, but it is very very well maintained, like any Serena. Gives you a feeling of royal times with modern standards. History is well maintained. Serena management is doing a great service for the locals, created jobs and buying various items locally

They have always great service, their rooms are amazing with traditional style. Love the ambiance inside the room. Best part is cafe with river passing nearby. Love their club sandwich ❤

Nice place ... But less than ideal views ... Due to location of the hotel. Lawns are great, multiple fruit trees are there. Hotel has a historic value and during day, there would be lot of tourists so hustle bustle can't be avoided ...

400-yr old fort with nice mix of historical touch, modern amenities & original architecture. Definitely a unique experience overall. Only thing would be having better selection on restaurant menu.

It was a very good fort was around 50kms from skardu city, guide were also good and friendly. Serena hotel was inside shigar fort that costs around 25-100k per night. The entrance ticket for the fort is 500 per person

This is several year old fort now managed by Sarerna hotels where part of fort os available for visitors amd rest is a hotel. The entry fee is 500 rupees per person and you get a guide in return who takes you around. Explain the history and also assist you to take pictures. They serve buffet and visitors can avail restaurant till 5 pm only.

Had a wonderful experience. Historic place with new rooms made as per historic architecture. Guides available to tell you in detail about the history of the fort.
1 star less for service because regretfully the internet didn't work during our stay.

I have been wanting to go to Serena shigar for the longest of time. Having traveled to skardu twice before, this was still something we always missed cuz the place was always sold out. They have recently built new rooms across the gardens a little away from the main fort building but you still get to hear the river flowing. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous green gardens with greenest of fruit trees.
The staff is amazing to say the least. Very hospitable and very quick. Service really makes the experience better.

Amazing place with beautifully preserved heritage of Baltistaan. The management is kind and very professional as well. Had a really comfortable stay. Food is really good as well.
