Eat and Read Hotel and Restaurant

Eat and Read is situated on the airport road. It comes before the Skardu airport if you are moving towards the city. It is a quiet and isolated place with an amazing view of mountain and river. If you want to live outside the city it serves the purpose. Their are very limited food options and you may need to go to the market or main city areas quite often for restaurants and food. But this is overall an amazing place to spend few days peacefully in Skardu.

Near airport, ideally located. Beautiful views of Indus basin. Large and spacious rooms but above all very caring and tourist friendly owner.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It was a really pleasant experience. The staff is cooperative and very active. Rooms were clean and gave an excellent view of the Indus river. Their own restaurant's food was great, especially the tea. Recommended to stay here especially if you arrive by flight since it's really close to the airport.

The scenery is superb. A small place with great service. It is located a quiet place just outside of busy area. The room is nice and the staff is courteous. The owner Haji Wazir Ilyas and Haji Mansoor is very accommodating.

What can I say? Excellent little hotel very close to the airport.. The view from the rooms is majestic (picture attached)..
The staff were exemplary.. Very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable..
Breakfast was served promptly and we were able to easily organise a car with driver for daily excursions (through the hotel)
If you're coming to Skardu, I'd highly recommend staying at the Eat and Read Hotel.

Nice environment and delicious taste.

We had a great experience in Skardu at Eat and Read Hotel. We were on our honeymoon. When we arrived at the Skardu Airport, the driver was already there to pick us up. The Airport is about 10 mins from the hotel. The staff is caring and courteous and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were taken care of. They even arranged a BBQ and Bonfire for us on a very short notice.
They had a car available with a very knowledgeable driver Mr. Muntazir who showed us around the area, and took us to the Soq Valley, Upper Kachura, Shangrila, Shigar Fort, Blind Lake, Safranga Dessert, Mantokha Waterfall.
Overall I would say it was a really comfy stay, The views from the room we stayed in were breathtaking. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like a comfortable stay in Skardu.

Absolutely outstanding hotel perfectly located. The staff were very approachable and helpful. The hotel is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed. What I loved most about this Hotel was it's location and the picturesque views which it provided.

Owners are very cooperative, the environment is very serene, peaceful with splendid views.
Everything is taken care for, u will be provided for and looked after by the owners about all matters in best possible way. Espacially Mr. Shareef and Mr. Ilyas. Great experience with family and this made my trip all worthwhile. Location is good and they also provide for pick up and drop off if u ask.
