Great place to enjoy sunset.

Spacious sandy beach with calm waters. The area is interesting for those who don’t like to go to beach and have city views in the background.
There is support bar for food and drinks and a parking lot. Note that during summer months it might be harder to find parking space close the beach.

Nice quiet beach in August. The sea was a bit rough but still managed to enjoy a bit of a dip. The water is absolutely freezing though, but that's pretty much the case all over Portugal. There's a nice bar/restaurant where you can get a meal, cocktail, coffee, snacks, etc. We stayed at the beach area, not the lake area. However, one is a few minutes walk away from the other and the lakes/ponds are good and safe if you have kids.
The sunset view is incredible

Great lagoon, with warm and still waters for swimming, perfect for kids. Nearby there’s the sea, also perfect for swims in open water, with lifesavers, though it’s occasionally too rough for most. The lagoon is often windy and is favored by kite surfers and the like. In all, there’s something for everyone and it’s a mere train and bus ride from Lisbon

A great place to spend time with family and children. The water temperature is always warm, and it is also shallow here. Very nice, soft sand. We liked this place. We can recommend it especially to those who have children. They will definitely be delighted. There are also 3 restaurants nearby where you can have a delicious snack.

Lovely beach with not many tourists only 50min away from Lisbon! It is very clean and the waves are not too strong and the water is actually not cold either! I would highly recommend!

This beach offers some unique attractions, particularly its warm tide pools, which can be a delightful experience for those interested in marine life. Exploring these pools can be both educational and enjoyable. Additionally, if you’re into wind surfing, this beach provides excellent conditions for this sport.

However, it’s worth noting that the water in these pools can be stagnant, which might not appeal to everyone. Additionally, considering the high number of visitors, it’s likely that some people may not follow proper beach etiquette, which can impact the overall cleanliness of the pools.

Despite these concerns, if you’re willing to overlook these drawbacks and focus on the tide pools’ natural beauty, and if you’re a wind surfing enthusiast, this beach can still provide an enjoyable day out.

Lovely beach and lagoon with plenty of space, the lagoon is very safe and highly recommended for kids. You can find free public restroom and car park with 2€ fee per day. Just 50 minutes way from Lisbon is a perfect place to go if you are seeking for a natural paradise.. highly recommended

Never been on this place on summer-time, however it is just perfect during a cold but dry winter afternoon!!! The walk by the lake ends to the seashore... the ideal combination to offer peace of mind and total relaxation!!!

Beautiful sand dunes, very clean water, sad that the restaurant at the beach is close in the winter time. Reason: the parking lot was almost full late afternoon hours.

Wonderful light sandy beach on edge of tranquil lagoon, offering bird watching, water sports, etc. Also possible to see the local fisherman in waders looking for clams etc. Access to the long beach along the Atlantic coast as well.
