Restaurante A Rampa

We arrived as three plus a baby on a rainy Sunday at midday and the very kind owner found us a table (do book ahead!) The decor is warm, simple and the service is spectacular (we felt very cared for, especially our teenage vegetarian!) The confidence in offering ten plates and a choice of a few drinks is understandable once you try their menu. Pumpkin soup was silky, sweet and warming. Crusty bread and oregano covered olives were perfect, too. The meat selection and cookery is beyond incredible - the duroc tomahawk and venison really are allowed to sing and come alive with the sweet accompanying sauces. Whoever is in the kitchen is a genius. Cheesecake and port were a perfect ending. We'll be back (and will book next time!) Go, before it's too busy to get a table.

Stopped over at the village to get some lunch on our way to Faro airport. Really glad we did! We had tuna steak and pork tomahawk, both were freshly prepared and tasted lovely. The set menu price is quite reasonable and we were given lots of food. The restaurant has a traditional, cosy vibe and the service was friendly.

Really special dinner here. The food is a fresh pick daily and extremely delicious, the service was on point in every way, the price was right, and it was truly a wonderful experience all around. Highly recommend.

Family owned restaurant with home made food - that’s the best restaurant we found in Algarve!
We are a family with two kids and our kids absolutely loved the food too! Every day the menu is updated to include fresh ingredients and the staff is so welcoming to each guest. We have noticed that other people are also returning to this restaurant. Once you found it, you will definitely want to come back!

The food was absolutely amazing, fastest service we have had in 2 weeks in Portugal and it was only one server, he had the entire restaurant packed and everyone was happy and well served. We had the Lamb and Chicken and I couldn't tell which was better The Chef was truly amazing.

Very nice place with very well prepared food and good quality options. I usually don't order steak because I am often disappointed but the rib eye was very good. Soup was excellent. A prefix menu has half a dozen options including fish and beef. Eiley recommended.

Lovely service and delicious, simple, tasty food. We had the fixed price grilled sea bass which came with starter (Waldorf salad), bread & olives, dessert (Tiramisu) and a coffee. Incredible value.

Extremely good quality food for very good value for money, with staff who clearly know what they're doing and put their hearts into it. Definitely worth a special visit even if you're not staying nearby!

Wish we’d found it sooner. Had lunch here on the last day of our holiday. Extremely nice food, competitive prices (starter, wine, bread, main course-3 fish and 3 meat choices-dessert- 5 to choose from-and coffee included) and Dimitri is professional and multilingual. Clean and shady too.

Service was great, friendly and obliging. We sat outside, under cover and enjoyed a delicious meal of'robalo', potatoes and broccoli with fresh salad on the side. Now, open again after the pandemic, more people should take the opportunity to enjoy this very pleasant restaurant.
