Awesome surf school!

We had a surf lesson with Nelson in December and it was brilliant. My partner had never surfed before but felt very safe and really enjoyed the food experience.

I was rusty but still caught a few nice waves and Nelson gave me some really good tips and adjustments to try.

Equipment was decent and they obviously know a lot about the local area which is always crucial.

My only regret was we only had one day in Sagres. We’ll 100% be back

I would like to write that the accommodation in the surfhouse was terrible, so that they would have a place for me whenever I remember, but the opposite is true. Beautiful accommodation, clean, stylish, good breakfast to gain a lot of energy for the waves. I appreciated the peace and no parties during our stay. The surf lessons and all the instructors were fabulous. The rented equipment was in good condition compared to other rental companies. I look forward to my next visit!

We rented one hard board and two soft boards. They were in good condition. They lend us a soft roof rack, which was nice. The process was straightforward, yet proper e.g digital copy etc. we’ll come back again.

A real teacher! My friend and I are beginners at surfing, and we spent a few days in the area, where we tried 5 different surf schools. In most of them, you don't really get a surf teacher, and more like a surf babysitter. Nelson was the only one who actually kept pointing our errors and telling us how to improve, and we certainly did, thanks to him. I actually even got a really nice pep talk, which I definitely needed.

Finally, I think we stayed like 1 and a half hours more than we had paid for, so, thank you, Nelson!

Fantastic wave surf school! All instructors were very professional, friendly and dedicated! Everything was well organised & fun!

Very professional yet fun surf lessons with an amazing teacher, Nelson. He took his time to find the best surf spot each day and the lessons were always fun. We learned a lot. Communication and organization with Wavesensation was always perfect. Highly recommendable, we are looking forward to our next time.

Me and my best friend did a one day lesson with Tiago and his team. They were absolutely THE BEST EVER!!!! We were a team of 6 beginners and there was 2 instructors. They were helping us a lot and I learned so much about the board, posture, and more. It was an unforgettable experience and I’m so happy we decided to go with them! We were extremely happy and the whole staff was super accommodating. I highly suggest it if you go to Sagres!!!!!

Great place to stay and learn surfing. The coaches were very engaged: provided a lot of tips and feedback not only about surfing but also about restaurants, sightseeings in the city and Algarve; very friendly and professional and passionate about what they do. The biggest hug to Jessica who taught me my first turns successfully.
The equipment is new and wetsuits are always clean.

Best surf school I have attended anywhere I have been surfing for 30 years and developed bad habits that the instructors were able to help me with in their intermediate lessons Fran and Nelson were excellent helping all of us improve The spot at Tonel was perfect for intermediates and we all had many great rides. Thank you Fran and Nelson I’ll bring my sons back next year to join us Best part of my trip to Portugal

Nelson was an incredible coach and I am so grateful for all the brilliant tips he gave me which helped me with really bad and old habits! He was really energetic and enthusiastic and explained things really clearly! He gave me tons of confidence to go back out to the back in higher performance waves than I am used to! It was such a great session and I am really grateful!

We loved our 3 day group classes with Jessica, Nelson & Tiago! Super experienced instructors, very fun classes and amazing memories. They were very attentive to everyone helping to correct the technique and explain the positions, or resolve any doubts. Wish we could do more lessons!

Had a few different lessons throughout my Portugal trip, and Wavesensations (ill admit I was skeptical of the cheezy name at first) was the best - by a long-shot. Not only were they well organized with quality gear, the instructors were very engaged and focused on providing guidance to everyones specific needs/ level. After just one lesson my ability to read and catch waves and confidence all improved!

Big thanks for the super enthusiastic and positive surf lessons. Thumbs up for Nelson's skillful explanation and coaching. If I can, I'd love to come back

Great 3 days with a Private Instructor. Felt completely safe as they watched health and safety very closely. Very patient with the kids, and we all properly surfed within a couple of days. Recommended.

This Hostel was great! It was very clean, the stuff was helpfull and the breakfast was good! We had a private 3 bed dorm. The matraces were comfortable. We had enough place to hang our clothes and an air conditioner. We booked some surfing lessons there. They picked us up at the hostel and the Surfing teachers were very nice to us. The only thing that we woud recommend the owner of the hostel is to fix some berrier at the high bunk beds. :) Obrigada for everything

Fantastic hotel & surf instructors. The rooms was well decorated, comfortable and clean, with a spacious bathroom and comfortable beds and lots of pillows. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of options, and the hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Big shoutout to the surf instructors, Jess, Tiago, Lucas, Nelson and Pedro. They were fun, helpful, and super supportive!

I did 2 days surf lessons and it was a lot of fun. I had surfed a bit before, but my girlfriend was a complete beginner. Tiago and the team of instructors were great. They made you feel safe in the water and were good at giving everyone equal attention and time. Really fun lesson and great for beginner to intermediate level of surfer. Will be returning

Lovely day out surfing with these guys. My first time ever surfing and very glad it was with them. They are all about safety and organised. Very calm and relaxed mood. They come up to you and teach you what you are doing right and wrong in the movement. And they take the time to teach you. All new surf board and wetsuits. The beach they take us to is gorgeous. There was about 20 of us with 5 instructor I think. So we were divided in small group according to our levels. But all instructors came up to me to help at different times and to teach me how to do things. Thank you very much Nelson and Lucas and the whole team.

Amazing experience doing lessons here. All very organized, knowledgeable, and amazing instructors. Would highly suggest to anyone looking to surf in Sagres.
