Excellent food and service in a cozy but spacious space. Loved it!

Easy to miss as it is located in the first floor and the entrance is rather inconspicuous. But a great place with delicious local food and very nice and helpful service. We stopped here for lunch when driving from Lisbon to Algarve and it was really worth it!

Such helpful and happy staff... even though we didn't speak Portuguese and they didn't speak English. Lots of laughter interpreting the amazing menu. Excellent food, and like most of Portugal the house wine was damn fine :) Highly recommend this restaurant!

Nice place with good traditional food

We stopped at Castro Verde on our way from Lisbon to Algarve. Great place. Good fresh food and wonderful service. Be aware that it close by 16:00 mid day. Recommend.

Restaurant full of locals when we got there on a Monday. €7.50 for a very good meal...starter, main, fab pudding ..
choice of 5 and carafe of wine each. Service good, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

A Brilliant restaurant you need Google translate for the menu but food was great and a little bit of English spoken by waiting staff. Between myself and my five other companions we tried most of the menu and could not find fault. The most we paid was 100 euro for starter main and desert.

Lovely spot above the square, with cheerful and accomodating staff and delicious food. Try the misgas esparagos with iberian pork.... delish! The don't have an English menu, fyi.
