Stayed here alone for one night while hiking in early March. Mostly empty but staff were professional, helpful and the rooms were nice. The food at the restaurant was beyond expectations. The steak I had was top 10 of my life. Cats, horses and rabbits all over the property. Lovely stay.

The location of the houses is amazing. The emblem of the island of Flores is next to a cascade of waterfalls. Strangely enough, these are virgin forests today. The staff at the reception is very attentive and treats what they love with great love. Dlmiki is a miracle, it seemed to me that it would be cold there, but upon entering it was almost like grandmothers in the village - warm and cozy! thank you all

More than the beautiful vistas and the magnificent facilities, the staff of this amazing resort are exceptional. No detail left unnoticed, no request denied. They made my friend's wedding weekend magical. Kudos to them all. Can't recommend highly enough.

This place is SO CUTE! You need to check it out at least for one night! Housed are pretty and clean and have their own atmosphere. Sunsets are stunning. Only thing to ba aware of is lady in a dining/breakfast location - she is super stern and wont take your orders unless you sit and wait for her at your table (even tho part of the breakfast is a buffet, she was a bit scary...). Go there! Recommend!!

I would like to offer a compliment to the staff and their service. On our holiday in August, we spent three nights more on Flores Island than we planned due to the weather conditions (the airport was closed for two days). We called this hotel from the airport, and they found a very nice apartment with two bedrooms for one night in their resort. The resort is located in an abandoned village. Everything was wonderful: the apartment, breakfast, and the neighborhood.

After a night, the resort was full; all hotels on the island in this situation were overbooked. The staff found a solution for us. They founded a new hotel, Villa da Mar, next to the ocean. It was a wonderful apartment with two bedrooms. They also recommended restaurants for breakfast and dinner. I can really recommend their staff; they really helped my family in our difficult situation.

Awesome village for vacation. All the houses are equipped with modern amenities and have very comfortable beds. The administration does a good job and is in easy to reach location. There is plenty of parking space, animals, and touristic locations nearby. The breakfast was superb with hot and cold meal/drink choices.

Having stayed on 5 Azorean islands, this place was without doubt our favourite and most memorable stay.

This is thanks to the one-of-a-kind setting with incredible views, authentic homes turned into hotel rooms and a friendly cow as our bedroom view. Staff were wonderful too, really friendly and easy-going.

Given the old nature of the houses, don't expect fancy hotel room luxury and they got pretty humid inside but the dehumidifiers did help. All this was more than made up for by the unforgettable vistas!

Abandoned village magically transformed in the mid-2000s - by a former stewardess - into a stunning rural resort. Staying in one of the fully-equipped stone houses was a mesmerizing experience. Looking westward across the Atlantic, one feels the yearnings in the minds of the adventurers in their quest for the new world. The nearby Ribeira da Ferreira, with its lake and high waterfalls, is awe-inspiring.

Beautiful little cottages, nicely redone. Friendly staff went out of their way to get me a power adapter when I lost mine. Good little restraunt on site, and a beautiful location.

Stayed here for two weeks. It was an unforgettable visit. The stone cottages are lovingly restored to preserve their original character while upgrading the living conditions to modern conditions. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The restaurant is one of the best on the island. I highly recommend anyone that is interested in the peace and quiet that the island is famous for to immerse themselves in a unique historic community that will be unique in your travel experiences.

Having stayed on 5 Azorean islands, I can say with certainty that Aldeia da Cuada was our favourite and most memorable stay. That's mainly thanks to the outstanding one-of-a-kind setting, with the Avatar-like backdrops, authentic homes and a cow as our bedroom view something we'd never get bored of. Staff were wonderful too, really friendly and easy-going. Given the old nature of the houses, don't expect fancy hotel room luxury and they got pretty humid inside but the dehumidifiers did help. All this is more than made up for by the unforgettable vistas!

One of the most unique place and accomodation I've ever visited. It's a refurbished ancient village on the west end of Flores with beautiful garden and view on Poço ribeira do ferreiro. The rooms are comfy and cool, the food is pretty good. Worth to stay at least 3 nights and explore Flores island from Aldeia da Cuada.

Location ist absolulty stunning, the old houses are just charming. But the best thing is the amazing breakfast and restaurant. For the latter it's hard to get a table sometimes so reserve ahead. All in all fully recommended

We fell in love with Flores island and the accommodation. It has got a lot of character and charm. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The location of Aldeia Cuada is great for viewing Faja Grande and Fajazinha as well as Poco Ribeira do Ferreiro and Poco Bacalhau. There is a lot of foot paths to get around and you can avoid walking on the road. The accommodation has got equipped kitchen so you can cook your meal when you don't fancy going out for dinner.

A perfect place to connect to nature, ear it's silence and relax; which matches very wel with Flores island ! Small restorated house with a kitchen and a chimney.
We stayed here due to a cancelled flight (which made the pill less sour), and I would definitely come back ! I think it's doable, even without rental car, as Faja Grande is about +/- 25 minutes walk (or even less through a smaller path!). Use OSMMap app (or open street map), to locate smaller paths not visible on Google Map :)
Best breakfast on the island.Dinner at the restaurant is a bit expensive, but serves awesome food (also better than the 5 other restaurants we tried on Flores).

Amazing food, and super cozy. The hotel and property is a Time Capsule. Truly feels like your stepping back in time.

Amazing place in the well inbuilt in the Island of Flores landscape. This recovered village presents itself as piece of history in this modern age. You get the feeling of those ancient times but get the best of the modern equipment inside the houses still maintaining its vintage decor.
Staff is very nice and friendly and fast to respond to any request. I recomend you choose the breakfast option as there is no cafe nearby and all the products served are genuinely local and very tasty. Nearby you find several waterfalls, water mills, trails and if you drive a little bit amazing lagoons.
In summary, if you come to the Island of Flores this is the place to stay.
