This is a truly gem. That's why I always take refuge in the interior of Portugal during the summer time when the coastal villages are chaotic with beach goers!

Very popular, busy with locals and always excellent value for money. Food is bog standard Portuguese served with a smile and great service. One of our favourites when here ❤

The local resturaunt competition is massive but Joao, Jorge and the team keep the place full lunch and dinner. The food is local and very well cooked, good quality house wine all at reasonable prices. We ate outside and thoroughly enjoyed our steaks

Welcoming and accommodating staff that helped us chose the meal we wanted. There was a mix up with the meal that was brought out do to lanuage barrier, but the amended immediately. We spent €32 on bottle of wine, appetizer, sparkling water, 2 entrees, and two deserts. Definitely worth the money!

We love the place. We eat there at least once a week. People are very professional, nice in welcoming and their menu is diversified. We particuly like the secreto pork (ask for non salty), the lulas and their mixed course called mar I terra (for those who like beef rare). For the wine we choose most of the time the vinho verde gazella. We highly recommend the place which is often very busy. So we suggest to come early to avoid the hectic period which might be noisy. Again, we love the place!

Traditional Portuguese. Pleasant atmosphere and staff. Octopus and black pork were outstanding. The biscuit cake with red fruits was excellent.
