Good food for a reasonable price. They are really careful when you say you're celiac. Maybe a bit to careful? Since I couldn't eat the olives with garlic.
Good service. Nice and friendly staff.

I think this was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Portugal, the service, food and wine all top tier!
Paulo and his brother have created a fantastic menu that’s clearly been cultivated from being well travelled and sophisticated.
We live over an hour away, but will be happily making a trip back at some point soon to revisit.
If you’re in Coja, this place is an absolute must.

Amazing food. The duck I had was amazing, one of the best duck dishes I had in years. The desert was really good too. The staff and the owner are really friendly. A must try if you are visiting Coja.

Wow. Not cheap, but really really good. One of the best meals we had in quite some time, mixing traditional Portuguese food with a bit of funk. Exquisite (fresh) cod fish, excellent duck. Panna cotta and chocolate mousse deserts close to as good as our Grandma's. Obviously lovely local wine and brandy. Pleasant attentive service in both Portuguese and English.

Great food, from the starters to dessert, everything was absolutely marvellous. The service is stupendous, our waiter gave us his recommendations on dishes and wine and it was spot on on everything. Will definitely come back

Excellent food great menu. inside and outside (shaded) seating. There where three Delicious sounding specials the day I was there and I went for the seabass option.
The menu had good vegan and vegetarian options.
The staff were friendly and attentive and all spoke good English.
They also had good information on the menu for people with allergies and intolerances ✅👍🏽

I recently dined at a this charming restaurant in Coja with my wife, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food at this establishment was truly top-notch, delivering flavors that delighted our palates with every bite.

What truly elevated the evening was the impeccable service. The staff deserved nothing less than five stars for their attentiveness and warmth. They made us feel like valued guests from the moment we walked in.

Additionally, it was a pleasant surprise to see the owners so involved and friendly. They took the time to chat with us, sharing stories about their journey and the project that brought them here. Their passion for what they do was evident and added a personal touch to the dining experience.

All in all, discovering a place like this in Coja was a great surprise, and it's definitely a hidden gem worth revisiting. We left with full stomachs and even fuller hearts, grateful for the wonderful evening we had at this remarkable restaurant.

From the moment we walked in, our experience was wonderful. Our Portugues is not very good yet and we often struggle when in restaurants. If you are in the same position, dont worry your hosts speak excellent english.
The selection on the menu is varied and includes vegetarian and vegan options.
The starter basket of rustic bread(made with corn flour), marinated olives and special inhouse flavoured butter and local goat cheese was delicious.
We had lamb shank and sea bass. The side dishes are amazing and so tasty. They included spinach and turnip, mashed potatoes and baked potatoes done to perfection.
The presentation of the food is top notch. To say the sea bass was pretty as a picture is an understatement.
We had house red wine which was lovely.
The desert!!! Wow! The selection was wide, from cheesecake to chestnut pudding. Absolutely fantastic, and again, presented artfully and served with class by a waiter who prides himself in his noble trade.
I highly recommend this restuarant which has a beautiful view of the river and bridge in Coja!

Delicious vegetarian food. And they are very generous putting a lot of nuts, dressing, different sorts of lettuces and other things in their dishes. Not just the typical cheapy ingredients.

Very good vegan stew with beans. We also had a very nice salad. I wish they had more, but it is good and reliable.

The staff was knowledgeable, understood what "vegan" means, and spoke English.

This is a little gem in this small town: very tasty and well presented food with at least a few veggie options. And a pretty long wine menue. The waiter is super attentive, friendly and funny. We had several wonderful evenings here and would come back any time once we are back in the area.

(From my boyfriend Sam) - this is the best restaurant I visited in Portugal. I visited many towns and cities in central and northern Portugal (Lisbon Coimbra etc) and this was the best. I ate the Terra Mar and the duck for a main which were mouth watering. For dessert - I ate the sticky toffee date pudding which was incredible. The Sangria they served was the best sangria mix I’ve ever tried. Would highly recommend this restaurant, very friendly staff too.
