Miam Burgau

Wow! This place was a highlight of our short trip to Burgau, absolutely fantastic and delicious food, brilliant terrace with a sea view, it was filled with people, we were truly lucky to get a small table for two. Octopus was just mouthwatering! Oysters so fresh - having lunch here was such a delight, the team is super friendly and attentive 💙

Wonderful Restaurant! I don't know why the majority of the crowd was next door. We came especially for miam and were absolutely amazed. 5 stars for everything. We ate too much 😅

The best restaurant in the region of algarve. I've never written a google review until this day. The food was so amazing, that i should give them 10/5 Stars!! The slow cooked ribs and the tuna were absolutely delicious. The view is fantastic and the service is great! It's definitely worth a visit!

Very lovely food and great setting. The restaurant is right by the beach with sea views: a great option for strolling up after a beach day. We reserved on the day for the evening which is definitely necessary as it's full outside from around 7pm.

Vegetarian options were limited and with a lot of cheese but very good quality food. White wines from Douro and Algarve were very nice. It would've been nice for the courgette spaghetti to have been a warm salad as all the veg dishes are cold. There are no vegan dishes, so I hope they decide to add one in the future (ratatouille perhaps? This comes with the burrata already!) Homemade bread was fresh and lots of good sides that were veg and vegan.

We had dessert too - the lemon meringue pie with lemon sorbet was exquisite!! 🍋 We hadn't tried Portuguese almond tart before and were expecting something lighter but it was a dense tart (not sure if this is usual or not) more like a mince pie or Christmas cake.

Overall, fab experience dining here 🌞

Excellent French Cuisine with a marvellous view to the see in Burgau from the terrace. Starters, main courses and desert were very tasty and nicely prepared. The perfect egg and vegetables accompaning the fish could have been a bit warmer, the rest was perfect.

Exceptional beach side restaurant. Food of highest quality. Ribs had meat melting off. The desserts are exquisite. Fresh fish beautifully prepared.

Delicious food! Haven’t tasted a bad thing on the menu. Very friendly and nice staff. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Best place to eat in Burgau for us.
Food was excellent, and by sitting outside you get the view and the sounds of the waves crashing against the Burgau beach.
Service was perfect. We were able to get our excellent table as a walk-in but I think we were lucky as they had to turn a few others away after us, and most of those around us had booked - so I would recommend booking!!
If you’re staying in Burgau, this is a must-try.

Delicious food, great service, chilled vibes, just what we needed after a long day travelling. Fantastic burgers with caramelised onions, brie, gherkins and homemade ketchup in a brioche bun. The sticky ribs also got a big shout out. Thank you, we’ll be back for sure!

The food is the highlight, you can not go wrong with anything on the menu.
We had Tuna Tataki, which is nothing short of an absolute masterpiece. The chef is an artist in how he combines the ingredients and showcases the dish with elegance.

As starters we had goat cheese, Hummus and bread, all paired together beautifully!

Finally the dessert, fresh strawberries, delicious scoops of vanilla ice cream and biscoff crushed cookie topping. Chocolate mousse with a whipped cream top.

Overall, amazing experience, a must see restaurant tucked away down the hill at the ocean. Cute village and lovely people!

Best restaurant in Burgau (for us). Local ingredients, dishes bit of crossover: local, international classics, asian influences, overall rather small menue which allows fresh preparation and still the whole family finds something. Had one of the best set of ribs since long time. Or sea bass with some lemon, oil, chive and pepper dip which was just great. Run by international crew, super nice people, owner is French.

Perfect beach side (almost) restaurant. Gorgeous tapas & crepes. Excellent tunes and lovely staff. We will be back someday.....

We love this place, it’s always so popular because the food is delicious and the service is great! Highly recommend the tiger prawn risotto and ribs!

Really enjoyed our lunch there. Food was delicious, nice presentation. The settings are very pleasant. The staff is friendly and professional. We all enjoyed our time at this restaurant. Would go back with no hesitation.

Our experience in one word: WOW!
We followed the good reviews here and were not disappointed. From the service to the food to the atmosphere - we were 100% satisfied. The menu is small but nice. The dishes taste great. The kitchen staff knows what it is doing and manages to appeal to all taste senses and also present visually well. The service is top and the prices fair - what can we say: don't think twice, just go.

Since we arrived here, we had dinner in 9 different restaurants all over the Algarve. This one was our favorite. The food is great and neatly decorated with a good eye for details. The service was superb. We never had to wait, complete staff was super friendly and it felt like they enjoy working here. The price is appropriate, location is great and matches the menu and overall style of the restaurant! Warmest recommendation from our side :-)
