Taberna de Tábuas

Great place for a Sunday Roast or meal. The hosts, Terrie and her son Kyle, cooked up a storm. Roast pork and vegetables and Yorkshire pudding with gravy. Fantastic meal. And desserts were equally good. Malva pudding, a South African favourite, apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding with custard. Delicious. And all topped off with coffee and Macieira. Thanks too to the gentleman with the giant umbrella that patiently escorted everyone to the car. It was raining cats and dogs and the elderly amongst us really appreciated the very kind gesture.

Terrie has built a remarkable business that is attractive to people of all backgrounds. She has great patience and an obvious talent and passion for what she oiffers. We love coming here, feeling welcomed and eating tasty meals at good value prices.

This place is a hidden gem. Just outside the beautiful town of Miranda Do Corvo in a small village called Tábuas is this little taberna.
Terrie the owner, originally from South Africa mixes her tastes of food from South Africa with British and Portuguese influences and it works.
Eaten there many times and will continue to do so.
Great food, great prices and a great atmosphere.
Terrie also speaks Portuguese.
I would suggest always calling to make a reservation and see what food she is making for that week. All food predominantly is made to order, which to me is perfect as you know its fresh.

Spent a perfect evening watching Rugby with nice company and excellent food. Nestled in the mountains, you can sit inside or outside. Great experience.

Nous sommes venus un dimanche midi, et nous nous sommes regalés du menu proposé : legumes variés, viande, sauce pudding :) memes les enfants ont mangé tous leurs légumes ! Les propriétaires anglais (?) sont très gentils et souriants, je recommande sans hésiter !

Het cafe heeft een nieuwe eigenaar, die aanbod van de keuken heeft aangepast en uitgebreid. Gelegen aan het kleine dorpsplein met stromende rivier ernaast en bergen op de achtergrond. Zeker een bezoekje waard, alleen al om te genieten van de dorpse vakantie sfeer
