Penzión Reštaurácia Pastierňa

Restaurant review - a little hidden gem in this part of the country. We got tired of the usual Slovak hearty fare so opted for salads and chicken breasts with green beans and all meals were lovely. Service is prompt, payment by card possible and there is a parking lot and small playground in front of the restaurant. Indoor seating and a covered outdoor terrace.
The place is located a little further up one of the streets in the village but conveniently on one of the descending trekking routes.

Good food, the staff members were really nice, the place is pretty overall and the room was filled with a nice smell. Basically a typical Slovakian or Czech cottage in the mountains. Would recommend!

We ate at the restaurant. Vintage place, nice atmosphere, right at the end of the hiking trail. Waitress spoke great English, the dishes were tasty, we ordered 2 kinds of chiken(beans & sweet 🌶) we enjoyed very much, recommend!☘

Delicious food, excellent service, wonderful view on the nearby forest. Came here (during early afternoon hours) from another restaurant on the lake where we couldn't even get menus after 15 minutes - here we were served efficiently and pleasantly. Highly recommend.

I spent a few days in Dedinky, and this was far the best restaurant in the area. I liked it so much that I ate here 3 times, (Unfortunatelly I could not stay in their penzion, because it was full booked, I guess it has a reason)
Location: it is about 300 m up from the lake, but it worth to walk. The bulding is very nice and there is also a playground for the guests.
Food: The best I had in the village, I can recommend the fresh trouts, the garlic soup, the ewe-cheese potato dumplings, the slovak soup, and the pancakes.
Price: Main dish is around 5-6 Eur, which is cheap/normal in that area
Service: both the owner and the waiters/waitresses were very nice. When I mentioned that my sleeping bags became wet, they landed me a blanket for free for the last night.

Great place for a drink or eat after doing tha zejmaska roklina. There is also a lovely playground for kids near by. The service is great.
