Textiles Barahona.

This is small textile shop on the edge of town. I found it on accident as I was driving around. You walk in to a modest rectangular room with two rows of items on either side of wall. You can find anything from hammocks, table cloths, bedding and a so much more in a variety of styles. I was able to purchase several kitchen cloths that love, for $1 a pop. It was a huge win for me.

The best part was being able to see the small factory in the back of the store/home. It was very cool to see the artisans at work and talk to them about their story and the process of making such complex items.

I highly recommend visiting this textile shop if in the area. It is important to support the local artisans and share your experience.

Colorful tradicional fabric, made from scratch, starting with color full thread untill you get a full size peace of fabric. All the process are hand made.

Nos dieron una visita guiada por los telares, pudimos conocer de primera mano el proceso y platicar con los artesanos. Fue una excelente experiencia que recomiendo para quienes deseen saber del patrimonio de San Sebastián.

Excelente servicio a los clientes, nos invitaron a ver el proceso de los tejidos. La tela de las hamacas es de excelente calidad.

Variedad de artesanías en telas, colchas, manteles, camisas, blusas, etc. Si quieres ver como trabajan los telares, es una oportunidad para conocerlo.
