Beautiful place, definitely worth the visit if you want to spend couple of hours in a beautiful natural environment. Besides the nature, this place has all the facilities you may need, such as toilets, a restaurant, accommodation and a cafe. All are also well maintained. The trip to the lighthouse is worth the climb, just for the beautiful views it offers. The beech at the foot of the hill is also very nice and you can take a swim there. We also walked around a bit and were greeted by monkeys, which were not agressive. However, we skipped the jungle trail due to the heat, but walking around other parts of the park were also very enjoyable.

A very beautiful and well-kept national park. The entrance ticket costs 200 baht although on Google the price is 400. Large parking, toilets, restaurant and bar near the beach with cold drinks and ice cream. Trekking sets off from the parking lot. Exactly 2 km, so if you walk slowly, admiring the jungle, then exactly an hour of a pleasant walk. We saw monitor lizard, horn bills and monkeys. But keep in mind that the trail is up and down, it's better not to go in flip flops. After the trail there is a beautiful beach. We arrived at the park at 15:30 and we didn’t have enough time to walk around and have a relaxed walk and eat. At 17:30 the restaurant and bar were no longer open. We should have arrived an hour earlier.

It's the do not miss of Koh Lanta. It says it opens at 8:30 but we arrived at 8 and had no problems. Being the only ones there is amazing and definitely worth showing up early. Bring snacks but no plastic is allowed inside the park. We spent about 4 hrs there including 2 hours on the beach/sea. We didn't take the long hike up th e mountain as it's too hot and everyone says not worth it.

Nice small national park on the south side of Ko Lanta. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person. There is a 3km hike with a nice view point at the end. If you start at the trailhead from the parking lot, you end the hike at the beach. Takes about 1 hour. Beautiful beach, great for swimming. Also there’s a lighthouse that’s a short hike up from the beach where you get nice views of the area. They also have bathrooms and showers.

If being on Lanta you are up to something more than just relaxing in the beach you should definitely consider visiting The Mu Ko National Park! And if you are a nature lover then this is a must see attraction! An approximately 1h loop trail through the tropical forest is impressive but is also demanding due to humidity & steep parts of the trail. But the possibility to hear the jungle sounds (which are amazing), see monkeys and lizards and have a refreshing swim in the sea crowning the walk makes it all worth the effort.

The ride to the park is great (make sure your brakes work well) and the park itself is wonderful. Great hiking trail that is mostly covered with paver blocks takes you through the jungle. Very steep for the first 400m but take your time and have plenty of water. The prize at the end is an incredible beach so take your towels and find a spot under some trees to take in this idyllic scenery.

I recommend spending the morning or afternoon there. The fee is 200 baht per person plus 20 if you have a motorbike but in my opinion it's worth it if you do the 1 hour hike. The beaches are nice as well!

I’ve visited this beautiful place many times while exploring Ko Lanta. It’s a must!

Jan. 2024
The entry to this gorgeous Mu Ko Lanta National Park has cost me 200THB + 20THB for the parking (motorbike)

Also, smoking and drinking alcohol isn’t allowed on the beach.🚭🚯🚫

You can have all that but away from the beach. 🚬🍺
I guess that’s also why so called Epic Beach is kept really well.

I recommend to go there really early, maybe do the 1h hike in the morning when it’s not too hot, and then enjoy the beach Epic Beach 🏝
Also, pop to the Lighthouse, it offers stunning views!

Yea, didn’t even attempt the 2km trail - although I think it would have been worth it.
Nice quick walk to the run down lighthouse - quite a view up there. Quick walk down to the beach again for a dip in one of the best beach fronts we have found on Koh Lanta. Nothing special - but makes for a good stop point on a day trip with the scooter.

One of the best experiences I've had on Koh Lanta. Starting from the drive with big hills making it an adventurous ride. The price for the park is quite high, but you can park the motorbike as well. The trail was amazing, it's a bit of a climb especially at the start but you're constantly in the shades of the trees. Do wear good shoes though as it can be slippery when wet. The trail takes you to two amazing beaches seperated by a small little island with a lighthouse on top. The first beach is a nice chill sand beach, the other one a perfect rock beach for snorkeling. There are public toilets, a restaurant to get some food and drinks and a big open field to play sports. I wish we would have found out about this place sooner, we would have come here more often!

Perfect hike, not too long, not too short. The scenery on the way to the beach is very very beautiful and the water is very clear and clean to swim.
Amazing scenery climbing to the lighthouse too.

Entrance: 200 THB per person. A beautiful cliff with an old lighthouse and a view of the coast. While walking on the adjacent lovely beach, you may encounter monkeys. The trail through the forest in the Thai climate is a bit more challenging, lasting about 30 minutes. Here, you may encounter monkeys again and discover the local fauna.

Trail through the forest is shaded from the harsh sun for most of the day. Starting at the parking gives the sea and lighthouse reveal at the end of the hike. Amazing 360° view from the lighthouse. Good for half a day of activities.

This will be for those who car camp.

Entrance:
Drive in before 5:30pm. Entrance fee (cheap, and charged by headcount)

Camping:
Camping fee (2 cars, 2 nights THB800). There are 2 areas for camping, tent and car.

Park your car at designated visitor parking area first. Then inform the ranger you want to car-camp, and you will be directed to the 'Office' to register and make payment (cash only).

Food:
There’s a cafe within the compound. I’d say food is quite decent, comparable to restaurants outside so save yourself time by eating in.

Wash:
There’s running cold water and clean toilet for shower. Bring your own toiletries.

Do:
Hiking, swimming, sightseeing the usual national park activities.

Great place even during rain season. Nice and pleasant hike around the forest. You can easily do it wearing sandals but it might be slippery after rain. Be aware of the fee for scooter (20) and entrance (200). Very nice place to visit and enjoy the nature

Wow! It’s really beautiful! The walk took us around 1 hour and we were happy to have stable shoes! Don’t walk in flip flops!
Do the walk first, then you‘ll be rewarded with an amazing view over the beach, where you can find a bar to buy some drinks and snacks. We didn’t see any animals, however we spotted monkeys on our way to the national park on the street.
I recommend to go in the late evening. The calmness when most people left and we watched the sunset was really incredible! I didn’t want to leave! We visited the park at the end of January 2024 and only met few people on the walk. The beach was almost empty when we arrived at 4.30 pm. Toilets were open after 5.30 pm.

Nice place for spend almost one day. Price 200 bath for the entrance , 20 bath extra if you need to park. The walk in the jungle takes almost one hour and twenty minutes. The pathway can be hard in some parts but it's amazing. I start from the parking area and I ended up on the beach. I recommend to have at list water with you.
Close to the parking area there are restrooms , a little bar and one restaurant.
