Scuba Academy - 5 Star PADI Dive Center - Koh Chang

I did my DiveMaster with P'Jack. I could not recommend a better instructor. He'll push you to up your level all the while always keeping watch. Showed up in Thailand with about 60-70 dives, and left with over 200.

This shop is so special to my heart as I met P'Jack when he was opening the shop so I saw the place starting from the ground up. It's such a tight knit family oriented spot. Not only did I get amazing training, I also made friends for life!

Scuba Academy is the only dive shop as of now on Koh Chang that is Thai-owned. All of the other ones are run by expats - not that it's a bad thing. But if you're going to go to Thailand's most beautiful island, get a true immersive experience that'll steal your heart away. This is a place where you make friends, where you get to sit after a great day and share some food and drinks and just up your entire travel experience. ♥

Well where do I start? I spent around a month on Koh Chang all in all and along the way met and got involved with and done some work for Pee Jack and his team at Scuba Academy. My experence with Pee Jack and the team was the reason I stayed on the Island for so long. They are like one big family. I cant say Ive worked many places where I have worked with such great people who all get along. The only reason why I didnt stay and work full time is I have other work commitments. However whenever I have a period of time off work, Pee Jack will be getting a phone call from me asking if he needs any help.

Had an all round great experience with scuba academy Koh Chang. Bank and Suki took great care of me and my wife. Safety was very important to us and we were really pleased with the instructors lessons and enjoy the three dives over the day. Jack was amazing as boat master and has a great sense of humour. Boat was new. Dive gear was in great condition. Definitely recommend for first time divers. Great to see Koh Chang’s only 100% Thai owned and operated so successful and professional. Ten points guys. I made a special visit to Koh Chang to dive with Jack after a friend had recommended him and it was the right choice, diving with Jack is so much fun and he is a great instructor. I completed my advanced and rescue diver courses with him and enjoyed every moment. My travel partner was initially quite nervous and he held her hand through the whole first dive until she was confident on her own and she completed her open water with him. Bang Bao is also a very sweet village on the water and definitely worth spending time away from the main island strips. 5*

This was my first diving experience, after being taken on the snorkeling trip, I knew I wanted to do more. Jack and his team at Scuba Academy were the right guys for the job They made everything easy to understand, and I felt so comfortable despite my anxiety. The team at the Scuba Academy really know their stuff, and how to have a good time.They not only take care of you throughout the course of the boat trip, but sit down and enjoy with you afterwards. i will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

After doing much research and visiting a few dive centers, I had gone with Scuba Academy - and I cannot be more lucky to have had Jack as my dive instructor.
I did my EFR, PADI rescue diver certification and a couple of fun dives with Scuba Academy.
Had the best time, both in and out of the water, and it was all thanks to the amazing crew and staff of Scuba Academy.

We had a very good experience in Koh Chang. They took us up from our hostel in the morning, and send us back in the afternoon. The diving instructor there is very professional and patient. She taught and guide us seriously. As a beginner of scuba diving, I am very confident with her.

Support Thai. The shop is running by Thai owners and the instructors are Thai apart from one fluent helpful English guide.
Excellent equipment and warm service throughout the day. The wreck was fantastic and my instructor, Bank, was very professional and experienced. I would definitely come back for another dive!! :)

Highly recommend this scuba company. With so many around Koh Chang they can seem a bit factory oriented. Jack makes learning to dive fun and most importantly safe. He is also a very funny and sweet man. Great to have a beer with once you've have finished your course of course. Already booked in for next year as long as I can dive with Jack. Peace

We were for 2 weeks in Thailand starting from Koh Chang and my plan was go to south... because the professionalism, friendly team, great dives, amazing atmosphere... we stay our whole stay in here.

Very friendly and personal approach run by Thai people; no masses of people cramped onto a boat. Didn't pressure us to go diving more days but instead gave us the option to check out one day, and if we decided to come along more days we would get the discount anyway instead of having to decide upfront. Good diveguides and the lunch was really tasty as well! Definitely recommended (=

Very professional, local and down-to-earth personel. Only good experiences! Even though we fought with desease, we just waited a couple of days and completed it with no troubles. A lot of good diving, nice service and overall could not be better.
