Samet Nangshe Viewpoint

Off the beaten track but worth the trip for the spectacular views. There is free parking at the bottom and then a truck takes you up the steep track to the top for 90 Baht return. You can walk up but I wouldn't advise it and there is still a charge of 30 Baht!!

The views are amazing so bring your camera / phone as there are many photo opportunities. There are toilets and a couple of places at the top to get a drink or food or there is a shack at the bottom selling shakes etc.

Stunning views of an amazing mountain/island landscape. Well worth the quick side trip from the main road to see this. The cheap and fast shuttle up to the viewpoint is worth the modest fee (currently 90 THB)

Unfortunately we came there at the wrong time and got a heavy rain after 15-20 minutes.

Otherwise the view is breathtaking.

The entrance fee is THB90 per person (return ticket). Please be aware with the entrance once you enter the area especially for big bikers. The road surface not in good condition and you may fall down if you get unbalanced.

It's such a beautiful place that I even forgot about taking photos at first. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates beautiful views! There were few people around. You can hike up on your own, or you can pay 30 baht to be driven up by car. Using your own vehicle for the ascent isn't allowed. If you choose to hike up independently, there's no need to pay at all.

There's free parking, restrooms, a cafe at the top, and places for tents. You can stay overnight here and witness a stunning sunset or sunrise. However, there's no place to charge your phone at night, so don't forget your power bank.

There's also a tour desk at the bottom offering trips to nearby beautiful places. I spent around 200 baht on gas and 30 baht on the ascent. I went on my own, without a guided tour.

I've been coming here often, and let me tell you, Samet Nang Chee is stunning, just like they say - a view worth a million bucks! When I visited, there were some resorts under construction, but that didn't affect the amazing area we explored up to the cafe. I arrived at 4:00 p.m., so the sun was still shining bright. The food tasted great and was really budget-friendly. There's a 50 baht fee for the cafe ride, but the cool part is you get a 30 baht discount on food and drinks with your bus ticket, for orders over 200 baht. Overall, it's a fantastic experience! 😄

The view from this place it’s simply breathtaking, you need to leave your car or moto down in the car park at the entrance, and you pay 30B to walk or 90B to go and return in a 4x4 truck, it’s definitely worth it, if you suffer from pain in your back be prepare because the way up it’s very bumpy. On top you have refreshments, cafe and food to consume. Two platforms to take your favorite photo and a couple of ‘instagram posing points’.

The view is amazing. Everything is ok including the ticket fee just a little amount (around B30pp including transport 4wd up there).

Magnificent,out of this world!! Never seen anything like it . Make sure you see this wonder of nature . Must see on your Phuket or Krabi holiday. 4wd will take you from bottom of hill all the way to top for Bth 90 each . An adventure on its own . The magnificent views are breathtaking.

Best view in Phuket. Easily accessible by scooter but you need to pay 30 baht to walk up or 90 baht for the SUV. It is quite a steep walk/ride. Cafe at the top and several photo opportunities.

One of the best views in the south of Thailand. A place not to be missed. You must leave your car in the parking lot to go to the viewpoint. We took our bicycles with us. We are traveling on the Asian continent by bicycle. You can follow us by typing "Dunyaperestiz" on all social media platforms. In May 2023, the entrance fee is 30 Baht to go to the viewing point by walking and 90 Baht by transfer 4x4 car. You can set up a tent at the facility at the viewing point. If you do not have a tent, you can rent a tent or stay in a bungalow. You have to pay a tent site fee of 200 Baht. You can watch a magnificent sunrise. There is also a restaurant on the viewpoint. It's a bit expensive. If you want to eat beforehand, there is a place called Kebab House Mariya on the way to the viewing point. There are Thai and Turkish dishes. You can dine there and then come to the viewing point. Do not miss this magnificent view.

I arrived on sunday 8.30, almost noone there.
Happy to pay 90 baht for truck. Very steep way up.
Parking is just a broken piece of land, I would rather park a car elsewhere.

🛵 But you also can ride a bike, from Phuket Airport about 1.5 hours (if you don’t drive fast).

This place is heaven on Earth.. Definetely breathtakng.. Magnificent scene...Come back again for sure..Plead come to this place when you visit Thailand..You wont be dissapointed
