We were up in the clouds, so there were no views, but it was a special experience being surrounded by clouds. Beautiful place and definitely worth a visit. It was nice and cool and ever cold at the top of the mountain. 8°C , but you soon warmed up on the way down.

Very beautiful grounds and well maintained. They have escalators going up to each temple but none going down. The gardens are really pretty and scenic and full of colourful flora

Dubbed as the highest spot in Thailand, it is one of the hot spots for tourists and locals alike. Situated just 2 hours drive from Chiang Mai, the journey up is the highlight itself. With the many twists and corners, driving or especially riding up can be a memorable event. During our visit, there was a bazaar happening there. The location carpark itself can only hold about 20 vehicles. Numerous tourist vans were parked by the road site leading up to the carpark. At the peak, which requires a short walk up, there are no spectacular views to be said as the forest foliage is very dense. F&B and toilets are available at the peak. Entrance fee into doi Inthanon park is 300 baht and 150 baht for adults and children and another 30 baht and 20 baht for Vans and Motorcycles respectively.

Actually we want to visit Pagoda Noppamethanedon & Pagoda Nopphonphusiri, but we accidentally came to this place, and okay, not bad. Never expected there is a 'Highest Point in Thailand' 😲 Feeling amazing and unreal! 😂
Then we spent around half an hour around here, we proceeded to Pagoda Noppamethanedon & Pagoda Nopphonphusiri.

Not to mention, there is military area, but they still willing to let us use the toilet, and we had ginger tea over there 😄

It was a bit cloudy when we went, but you could still tell how stunning it was. Highly recommend doing this if you’re staying in Chiang Mai!

It's 5 stars regardless that because of an unexpected fog we couldn't enjoy the views however the fog created a very mystical atmosphere.

Even though we went there at 10am in the morning in January, there was still a sea of cloud at Thailand's highest summit, standing at 2565.3342 meters high. The tropical forest there is uniquely special. Moss grows on trees and work in symbiosis with it. The views are stunning and the weather really cold. Luckily at that time it was around 11°C already but earlier in the morning it was around 5°C. I recommend wearing hot clothes as there's some walking around to do and I bet this place can get really windy, though that morning wasn't.

Great place for walking and relaxing enjoying nature. If you are a tourist please don’t be LOUD and let other peppers enjoy the scenery and nature.

A historical forest. It's about 4,300 years old with excellent walking facilities inside the forest.

The Doi Inthanon Summit is 2565 metres above sea level. It's about a 2 hour drive from Chiang Mai. It is a moderately hard climb and one should be in reasonable physical condition to endeavour it. Guides are provided and if anyone does have problems in the ascent then the guides will help you down.
Unfortunately when we got to the top, visibility was hampered by clouds and fog. I think it's best to do the climb in winter as we did. The ascent takes about 1 hour. The views and the scenery of the rain forest are magnificient.
If you do the trek in the early morning so as to view the sunrise, then bring a jacket as it can get chilly.

The best place to watch sunrise in Thailand. The most highest place in Thailand reach over 2500 meters. On the end of December, the temperature reach 4 C before dawn. You need to we’ll prepare for this cold weather. Lucky is there are good booths serve hot meal for you and the price is all reasonable.

Very lush green. It was 4C when we went there. Be sure to bring a jacket. One of the highlights on my Chiang Mai trip.

Perfect sunrise view for people to come. Be advised, we need to pay to reach the summit but it really worth it 👍
