This historic park is one of the world heritage sites in Thailand. We spent 2 hrs to visit three historic items located in Khao Kang Nai; Sri thep pagoda, Song Pee Nong pagoda and Khao Kang Nai. There is tour shuttle van available for tourists to get to the historic sites from information center. Entrance fee is 20 baht/person, free of charge for person aged over 60. Car parking is available with 50 baht/each. This attraction site is worth to visit if you have time when traveling to Petchaboon or Lei provinces.

Impressive to see the ruins from a city from 9 to 14 centuries ago in a beautiful park setting. I would not drive here just from Bangkok. If you pass by it is worthwhile your time.

Much less known then the well known historical parks of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai but that doesn't mean it's not worth a visit.
Very friendly staff, good service with the electrical car and very well preserved historical village.

Si Thep Historical Park covers a large area and has an inner town and an outer town, both encircled by moats. There are three large monuments of which Prang Si Thep and Prang Song Phi Nong are Hindu temples built during the Khmer period. A later Buddhist monument, called Khao Klang Nai looks like an elongated stupa where the top structure has long since fallen and disintegrated. Take an electric cart to explore the ruins as it's a long distance to walk, especially when its hot and humid.

Sri Thep Historical Park is a magnificent site located in Phetchabun Province, Thailand. This archaeological park is one of the most important historical and cultural sites in Thailand, attracting visitors from all over the world who are interested in learning about the country's rich history and cultural heritage.

The park is spread over a vast area of 16 square kilometers and comprises several ancient ruins, including temples, pagodas, and other structures dating back to the 11th century. The park's history dates back to the Dvaravati period, and it was an important religious and cultural center for the region.

One of the most impressive structures in the park is the Sri Thep Temple, which is believed to have been built in the 12th century. The temple's architecture is fascinating, with intricate carvings and detailed decorations that showcase the artistry of the ancient Thai people.

Another notable feature of the park is the Si Thep Historical Museum, which houses a vast collection of artifacts and exhibits that provide an in-depth look at the region's history and culture. The museum's collection includes sculptures, ceramics, coins, and other items that offer insight into the daily lives of the people who lived in the area during different periods.

Visitors to the park can take a guided tour or explore the ruins on their own. The park is well-maintained, and there are plenty of signs and information boards that provide context and historical information about the structures and artifacts on display.

In conclusion, Sri Thep Historical Park is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Thailand's rich history and culture. The park's ancient ruins and exhibits provide a fascinating glimpse into the region's past, and the park's natural beauty and serene atmosphere make it an ideal place to spend a peaceful day exploring and learning. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Sri Thep Historical Park for anyone visiting Thailand.

Went first thing in the morning before it got too hot. They have an electric tram to ferry people from the parking area to the sight. But it's only a 5-10 minute walk.

The park itself is very nicely maintained and clean.
