CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW BBQ ON THE BEACH

What an awesome and unforgettable night! Fresh Seafoods, amazing location and the most likeable people in Zanzibar!😍 I could not recommend Captain Jack Sparrow and his friends more, they also told us so many insides about Zanzibar you won't read in any guide book and invited us for spear fishing and harpune fishing for the next day, which was absolutely priceless!!!!

I was a little apprehensive and the food was quite late but we met some other nice people at the camp fire and when the food arrived it was really tasty, the lobster especially was really good! It’s not like going to a restaurant and is a bit more ‘rustic’ but I would recommend giving it a try.

Dinner bash on the beach by local fishermen. Campfire, cold drinks during waiting for the food to get ready. It is not a fast food restaurant so take it easy, it is worth the time once for the feeling. Hakuna matata!

Заказывали фреш манго, не вкусный.
Выпили пиво и ушли. Но людей было много. Есть много коктейлей, танцпол. Можно потусить.

We got called there by a local saying his brother makes bbq for just 20 000 shillings, which is like 9 USD. After we had it the guy who was cooking demanded we pay $20 which is twice as much. They wouldn't let us go, they've sent somebody to call the guy who advertised, haven't found him and were really persistent that we pay $20.

Well, it's not a restaurant, no roof or other investments, no wash room, and there was just half a green lobster (not a fancy one with claws), a couple of unchewable octopuses and a really bony fish. None of the seafood was premarinated so not really tasty.

To sum up, better spend this money on a nice place and better food.

Don’t pay this guy anything in advance. He cannot be trusted to disappear with deposits. If you book one of his tours, only ever half at start of tour and remaining on completion, if anything goes wrong with your tour (promised food missing / itinerary/ whatever) you will face an incredible barrage of games and lies. Lies you can unpick with a little detective work, before he moves onto the new story. It’s not possible working with tourists the way he is that everyday he is perpetually penny less. Make sure you confirm prices in advance & very clear what is promised. If you keep him on a tight leash this way you can get what you are promised (food, tours whatever). It’s a shame he has to behave in this way.

Stay away from this guy, he will take your money and you won’t see him ever again. He is ruining all experience what this country can offer. 0 stars

Nikdy více. Nejhorší, co jsme na Zanzibaru měly. Objednaly jsme si rybu, dostaly jsme jen ocas a hlavu. Za 15.000 šilinků jsme měly v jiných lokálních restauracích celou rybu s výbornou přílohou. V ceně mělo být pivo, při placení požadovali 5.000 šilinků za jedno. Ostuda takto podnikat.

ACHTUNG! Keine Ahnung wie das BBQ ist, aber auf den Chef ist kein Verlass! Man zahlt und bekommt keine Gegenleistung. Für alle hart arbeitenden Locals natürlich schlecht, wenn jemand betrügt! Hätte gerne 0 Sterne gegeben!
