Fisher's Restaurant

We went several times to the Fisher’s restaurant and they never disappointed us.

During the day, it’s great to sit on the beach, in the evening maybe better in the restaurant it self.

Loved the octopus / mango salad, the grilled octopus, calamari and lobster, as well as the curry.

If you like local and love real authentic food, this is absolutely a place to try out.

Really nice beachside restaurant. You sit literally at the top of the beach. Very rudimentary furnishings but suits the vibe. The fresh snapper was amazing. Nice cocktails and mocktails. Service was good too. Highly recommended.

This was our favourite restaurant in Zanzibar! The family that owns the restaurant are super friendly and the restaurant is has a very chilled atmosphere. If they have space you can ask to be seated at their beach seats which is shaded and right next to the sea. Be sure to try their whole fish, samosas and chapatis. Just avoid the fish soup - very salty.

Wonderful food! Fresh calamari, octopus, lobster and king prawns were delicious.
They offer cold local beer and fish from local fishermen. The best food, which we found on Zanzibar.

That’s a must if you are in the area, looking for local food. We had the octopus mango salad, whole fish (DELICIOUS!) and the prawn curry. Local beers are only US$3 :) Everything was delicious. Would always go back! Reachable through the beach or the road. Also nice to leave your resort for a couple hours and support a local business

It is a small restaurant, right on the beach. But it can become a bigger place if they add some tables and chairs on the beach. The food is excellent: we like in particular their fried rice with seafood (of course, the seafood was very fresh, just caught from the ocean). But they also had more fancy dishes, like lobster, or dishes from all over the world, like samosas or fajitas. The owner was very nice, he always welcomed you with a smile. The location is perfect: right on the beach, close to the Masai's "shops", where you could buy anything you needed. We went there almost every day to taste their food and enjoyed very much eating on the beach, in such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It was unique, and, if we go back to Zanzibar, we will for sure go back there.

Delicious rock lobster, fish curry, bolognese and chicken burger. Pawn pasta and prawn curry were disappointing.
