Dongwe beach restaurant

As accommodated guests (from 4.1.-13.1.2022) in the resort Dongwe Club Vacanze ****, we also visited this restaurant, which belongs to the resort and we just could not miss it. The reservation is made directly at the hotel reception, where they will also tell you the estimated time to arrive for dinner. If you plan to go there, please note that this restaurant is not included in All Inclusive, but is paid extra separately.

The restaurant had two perfect Menus to choose from, these were 4th course menus for 50$ and 60$.

Coincidentally, we caught such a day that in the evening we had the whole restaurant to ourselves and thus an undisturbed experience 😊
We chose the most comprehensive and therefore the most expensive menu and it included:

Appetizer with marinated shrimp and avocado salad, (but before that the chef brought us to bite a freshly baked very delicious pastry with butter, it really pleased us).
Another following appetizer was spaghetti with crab claws.

The main course was lobsters with baked potatoes and various sauces and as a dessert we had cinnamon and passion fruit-papaya ice cream.

Our summary: Everything was absolutely luxurious, delicious, refreshing and perfectly refined. 😊

They bring tongs for the crab, so it's a bit of preparation, but it tastes really great. We have never had lobster before and that is why we visited the restaurant and we must say that we do not regret it, even though the menu was quite expensive, the food really corresponded to that.
Everything was beautiful fresh and well seasoned.
The ice cream is probably the best we've ever eaten, especially the cinnamon ice cream from Zanzibar Cinnamon shot us to the moon and it was a great sweet spot to finish our dinner.
Overall, the food is elevated to an even higher level than in the resort and this is also the reason why you have to pay extra for it.
Of course the food at the resort is also absolutely fantastic 😊

We ordered white wine for the whole menu and it was absolutely fabulous, it beautifully complemented all the courses. The waiter went to ask us after each course if everything was okay and how we liked it, he was tremendously nice and friendly.😊
The overall impression of this restaurant fascinated us and it was a beautiful pleasant experience that we would love to repeat once again.😊

You can pay directly at the restaurant but you can also pay at the hotel reception, you will say the room number and they will write it to your room account and you will pay the restaurant expenses on check out when leaving the hotel, which we did.

In the restaurant as a "thank you" we just slipped a few dollars straight in waiters hand when leaving 😊 In summary, our dinner at this restaurant cost about 140$ with wine, but we planned it and knew the price in advance, so you can prepare for it.

Just a point. We are quite eaters and we are used to bigger portions but it was really huge for us considering we had 4 meals and 2 of them was main course size 😁 We did not go to dinner at the resort that day obviously, but if we knew, we would have skip lunch as well 😁 So we definitely recommend starving to avoid regrets that you leave a lot of expensive and precious leftovers. For us briliant restaurant and perfect experience, we recommend you to try if you are already in the resort Dongwe.

A beautiful, outstanding place for dinner with an amazing view of the ocean. The food was delicious, the seafood was amazing and the service was very friendly and professional. We sincerely recommend this place for a romantic evening for two!

Ресторан при отеле, но можно посетить всем желающим при условии покупки какого-нибудь напитка. Кстати коктейли вкусные и относительно не дорогие. Можно покупаться, когда океан ушел или просто понежиться на лежаках. Нам понравилось.
