As I was doing city tour with my clients. We also stopped to old fort. We learn. Had pictures and visit shops. The place is cool and a lot of things inside that you can enjoy such as restaurants.

Sauti za busara is a fantastic music festival. Must visit in February!

Worth a visit if you are interested in the history of the Stone town. The architecture is amazing 🤩

Great historical place. Coral and stone fortified. Wonderful atmosphere. Important point in the history of Zanzibar. Shopping opportunity in the fort though most expensive for the same regular stuff you will get elsewhere. Great amphitheatre inside the fort. Every year a music/ film festival organised here. Don't forget to climb the tower.

It's interesting historical site and it's only building that can give you highlight on how Stone town buildings constructed (you can see exactly coral stone from the wall)

Went there for Sauti za busaura, this place is well lit and spacious. Any event is welcomed. And there are so many good vendors!

Great place and really authentic! They use the towers as galleries for the artists. You don’t need to pay so that’s great.

Bu the local name it called "NGOME KONGWE" this is the kiswahili word that meal old fort.. this is most important historical place in zanzibar where hundreds of people come to visit this area... historically this was the area where it was used as the empire of the colonies when zanzibar was under independence

We had dinner today at your restaurent and ordered chicken kadai, daal fry, chapati, rice it was authentic Indian masala taste and delicious
Mr Swapan was very friendly and explained the Menu very well and he was very professional.
We will defiantly recommend everyone to come here for food .

Old fort is extremely oldest fort in stone town that was bult by omanian people in 1699. Did you know that before old fort was chapel or church in that are know today if you didn't know before that old fort was chapel that was used with Portuguese for two hundred years
